How? I can't find any demo links on the Steinberg site. You do?
There are loads: http://www.steinberg.net/en/products/vs ... start.html Unless you meant product demo and not audio demos of course...

I was talking about a real hands-on demo that I can try, not videos made by Steinberg.

See above.

Hmmm no demo and my OS is not officially supported. I guess I could just roll the dice and see if it works on my Win Xp machine. Price is excellent and the audio demos are nice. Not too crazy about the eLicenser but at least it doesn't require a Dongle.....

If there isn't a trial for retrologue you could download the cubase 6.5 trial. It has retrologue included so you could demo it that way

Wow that's a heck of a download and a whole lot of trouble just to check out a synth but thanks for the idea. I seem to remember people saying somewhere that the plugins will work on XP but it's just not officially supported. I'll wait a bit to see if someone comes along and confirms they have it working in XP. I'm really attracted to this synth.....at that price it's really a No Brainer. :)

It works on XP :).

I've got it running on Windows XP Home Edition right now.

Finally a VST2 version of Padshop too.

I might have to seriously reconsider this now, since being VST3 only was the thing that was holding me back from purchasing it.

Yeah and with this strong update you can now also import your own samples, which is great! Now it is definitely something to consider!

Bought the update to Padshop Pro! Excellent news that Steinberg listened to their customers and enabled import option!

I was about to get Twin2 (hoping for a summer sale). But now I'm in doubt - just a little.
I realize it's a tricky question, but how good is Retrologue? How does it compare to other synths soundwise? Featurewise I feel it's a bit redundant, so I hope its sounds excell. But without a demo...

Padshop is a really interesting product and the price is very good. Only thing I am not sure about is the copy protection. Is the elicenser some sort of C/R thing if you choose not to use the usb dongle?
What happens to the license if my computer gets broken and I want to install it on a new computer?
I don't fully understand how it works. Can anyone tell me?
