Of course.
Doesn't sound too convincing on its own yet though, hence it being buried in the mix.

I see, thanks!Chris Jones wrote:It's just one patch, containing separate pluck, sustain and release components. Basically velocity controls the volume, brightness and duration of the sustain, and the brightness of the pluck. So high velo levels give a sustained note, and low levels just the muted pluck. There is also a separate legato patch, which would be made redundant if I could figure out a way to change the voice mode with keyswitches or something...runray wrote:Btw, how you create that muted guitar effect with open guitar effect in the same time? I mean, are there two separate patches or all in one?
Thanks!
Thanks all!

the mix alone is outstanding! It's reassuring to know the mix is ok because I only have pc speakers and earbuds to check with.

That's what most people use to listen to it, so it worksdjsubject wrote:Chris Jones wrote:That's news to me, because I don't feel like I know what I'm doing most of the time.djsubject wrote:this guy knows what he is doing!!

That's what I figured.
They are decent speakers though, just not professional monitors by any stretch.

Could you post some of those sounds as separate individual short clips?Chris Jones wrote:Of course.Doesn't sound too convincing on its own yet though, hence it being buried in the mix.
Did you create the sounds from an initialize patch or did you use some other patch to start from?
What does the guitar sound like without the amp sim?
Do you have any sounds available for Zebra or any other U-he product?

Was contemplating doing a breakdown, maybe after I get some other stuff out of the way.mcnoone wrote:Could you post some of those sounds as separate individual short clips?
I don't quite remember...! Sometimes I start with a patch, sometimes I start from scratch. Whatever they started out as, there's little trace of their origins now.mcnoone wrote:Did you create the sounds from an initialize patch or did you use some other patch to start from?
Pretty ordinary - I'll post a clip.mcnoone wrote:What does the guitar sound like without the amp sim?
Not at present, I might make some available at some point though if there's interest.mcnoone wrote:Do you have any sounds available for Zebra or any other U-he product?

very impressive technical piece and outstanding mix.
personally i'm blown away by the opening crash cymbal.
although all sounds are top notch.
the guitar is impressive in the way it s played...the expression.... ..although in terms of tone any good synth with FM or hard sync (to mimic a clean bridge humbucker tone) put through a good amp sim can achieve simlar result....but getting it to play like a real guitar the you did is somethin else.
bravo

Wow...beautiful guitar imitation! Like everyone said, the composition is excellent(despite it being short) the mix is superb, and the articulations are incredible - better than anything I could do right now.
You mentioned that you're thinking about trying your hand at a Zebra orchestra. I've been working on one as well, it's quite a challenge. I dunno, maybe if you make one I won't have to myself...
