I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

Sorry to stir the pot Urs - I'm sure you are sick to death of this but.....
A great feature for Z3 (in my opinion) would be the ability to "lock" certain parts of the synth whilst surfing thru prestets - like in the Access Virus. Sometimes I like the delay, or having the arpeggiator on , or the type of Osc and I can lock them on my Virus and then go thru other presets to ever expand the scope of the preset library and discover new sound possibilities whilst keeping the part of the patch that I like for the sound I am looking for to suit my track.
Another one for the wish list pile....
BTW: Can't wait for Z3 (I feel like a kid before christmas). And - the prices seem very very fair to me.
Much appreciated.
Now - you can get back to coding!!!!

Just some request for clarification... was ZebraHZ a one-time project or will there be upgrades to a ZebraHZ 2 (or similar) for it, as well?Urs wrote:Just a note: While ZebraHZ (the "upgrade" coming with The Dark Zebra) has Diva's filters, Zebra3 won't have the exact same ones.
Essentially I'd like to know what is the distinction in terms of product line/series for the future, between the regular Zebra 2/3 and ZebraHZ.
Thanks,
E

ZebraHZ was a one off. We'll keep it and Zebra2 alive for as long as technically viable and humanely possible. So, yes there'll be updates (VST3? AAX? 128 bit?), but no there won't be any new features.Elektrobolt wrote:Just some request for clarification... was ZebraHZ a one-time project or will there be upgrades to a ZebraHZ 2 (or similar) for it, as well?Urs wrote:Just a note: While ZebraHZ (the "upgrade" coming with The Dark Zebra) has Diva's filters, Zebra3 won't have the exact same ones.

Urs,
You may want to clarify this:
"Upgrade from Zebra2 + The Dark Zebra: Free"
Reading from your previous threads, if you pay $99 for the Dark Zebra, you get the upgrade for Zebra 2 to Zebra 3 for free, yes? Some people may be confused by this, or maybe I am confused. Some people might think the upgrade & Dark Zebra are both free.......or wishful thinking.

You have to have a purchase a license for Zebra 2 AND purchase a copy of Dark Zebra. When you have both, then the upgrade for Zebra 3 will be free. Pretty sure that's it.aaron aardvark wrote:Urs,

KBSoundSmith,
Yes, that is my understanding. Not sure if it matters when you bought the Zebra 2 license (which I already have).

Maybe a stupid question:Urs wrote:ZebraHZ was a one off. We'll keep it and Zebra2 alive for as long as technically viable ...
Will be Zebra3 backward compatible to Zebra2?
It`s not a bug... it`s a feature!
