That logic is so circular it could be a loop...
I like some lite versions. Geist Lite is complicated enough, thank you..

Also happy about every lite version, especially when it's as unlite as Dune BE/CM is.
After all, the dev has to know whether he does it or not. I would think the move was well calculated, especially now Dune 2 is almost released.

Well, I just prefer the U-he or Tone2 approach. There is no Diva lite or Saurus lite.Tricky-Loops wrote:Maybe a therapy could help? Assuming Dune 2 is intended as competition to other top-notch synths, I would find it odd if there were a free lite version, which is indeed not so lite at all
It would be like getting a Ferrari free, only lacking the 24-speaker sound system of the $200k version
So, if I spend 150 bucks, I want to feel that I got something exclusive, so to speak.
I know many think differently...

I doubt it but you can go into your account afterwards and delete the card from your payment settings. Depends on your level of paranoiaExamigan wrote:Does it work without putting in a credit card number?VariKusBrainZ wrote:Get this months computer music mag for free at Google news stand. Of course not. Why would I get a luxury product if it is free anyway?Tricky-Loops wrote:You wouldn't want to get a Ferrari for free?fluffy_little_something wrote:Well, I just prefer the U-he or Tone2 approach. So you would rather buy a 1000 EUR mountain bike than getting Ferrari for free?fluffy_little_something wrote:Of course not. Of course. Since the Ferrari is free for everyone anyway, I could not even sell it and get a mountain bike instead

The only things you would want in life are things that are exclusive and cost money??? A ferrari might be a bad analogy but think of anything else in your house, say a tv, would you not take a free 50in tv that might only be missing the remote just because it was available for free and everyone could have them and they only had to purchase a 5$ universal remote to use it?

Well, I would feel odd if that tv were offered free a I know it is worth much more. I want to pay for what I get, for the work developers and manufacturers put into it.ezelkow1 wrote:fluffy_little_something wrote:Of course. I am not at all into luxury or exclusive stuff, though, don't get me wrong. My current favorite synth cost less than 20 bucks and basically I am happy with it. Still, Dune has always interested me for some reason, mostly because of the balance between sound and CPU load.
