Live 9.1 released!

It is a solid upgrade.
The improved rendering speed (now uses multiple cores) is welcome and the improvements to Push are excellent...
Also, it is worth noting that this was by far the best beta experience I have had with Live. The new system is solid and every bug I reported was acknowledged and confirmed and finally fixed. Ableton was responsive and at any time I could look at the status of the bugs I reported. (Not at all like the seeming black hole of the past)

9 is an important upgrade as it was largely rewritten to get the 64 bit implementation. I suspect we will see quite a few fun feature rich point releases over the next year

+1 on 9.1 beta phase, it was _much_ more better than previouse beta phases. Good job Abes.
Dual monitor support is wicked, and many bug fixes has finally made Live pretty stable, but now I need a 3. screen lol

Mmmm more like Granny Smith's to Golden Delicious. There's an awful lot more overlap in Live/Logic and Reaktor/M4L than there is with Apples and Oranges.robojam wrote:But Logic X and Reaktor is NOT Live and M4L...
Why are we comparing apples to oranges here again...?

Not really... Because M4L is integrated with Live, it's hard to draw a comparison of Reaktor and Logic or Reaktor (name your favorite host). Just look at all the tweaks for Push, and modulation controls built using M4L. Very different indeed.zerocrossing wrote:Mmmm more like Granny Smith's to Golden Delicious. The original that you read was me bitching about stuff that is so inconsequential it embarrassed me to have wasted my time on it in the first place, hence the edit.hibidy wrote:AH, well, now samsam's post makes more sense
