Hey again man 8D,
I think I've found a bug.
When I load a preset I have made,
I need to flick the preset selector forwards and backwards to get it to load as I set it.
It's something like that, sorry not to be absolutely clear,
but I have forgotten the exact behaviour.
It's either loading a preset or loading a host's project.
When I flick the selector however, the preset will have correct parameters.

(host is Buzz Machines- Win7 64-bit)

I made some ugly sounds mate, I do have some sort of aesthetic though-
I don't mean to make it sound horrid. Maybe I will share 8 or something.
PA is certainly one of my favourites after familiarising myself with it.
I feel it is the right mix of capability and ease of use.

BuzzMachines? That's a new one on me... will have to look into it.

By "preset selector", do you mean the Forward and Back arrows next to the Program Name display? Or the drop-down Program Number Selector, when you click on the program number just to the left of the Program Name display (in Poly-Ana, not in your host). Or are you using Host functions for this?

And is it just the GUI panel that's not updating, or the sound?

Any other BM (giggles) users out there?

Trying BM now. Am I missing something or does this not load VSTs? Am I using the right version? (Apparently there's a "NEW BUZZ" and a "BUZZ CLASSIC".)

Okay... so it involves installing this "Rout VST Plugin Loader" extension thingee?

I'm seeing some weird stuff in it's readme.html...

Program:
You can change the settings of the effect during the song by changing the program number. First, you must setup the programs in the editor window then you can switch program by creating a buzz pattern and specifying the pattern to use.

Might that have something to do with it?

Okay, I got Poly-Ana to load into it but the controls seem frozen. This is not the typical experience!

The Rout machine is really old and buggy from what I remember, but I haven't used Buzz for a long time.

which seems to be the case.
Yes, I meant the up and down arrows.

To use the Polac's mod, the best way is to get his full VST loader package,
and merge it with Buzz's program folder.
This will also give you wicked quick ASIO capability.
The Polac loader will handle 32,64 and VST3 plugs.

Anyway- Orion behaves properly, so IMO,
I I don't need this slight glitch fixed.
It does affect also the sound, not just the UI.

Cool. I haven't had a chance to look at it further as I'm deeply into trying to wrap up something wonderful, but yes, if this was Poly's bug then everybody would be reporting it. I'm quite sure we communicate internal program change to the host correctly. (By calling updateDisplay()).

I downloaded the 1.21 file from the site but the Bui still says beta. Did I get the right file? File name says 1.21.

By the way in Bitwig, poly-Ana often doesn't make sound in some presets until I reload it. Then sometimes some presets blow up and go red. Loading it again a couple times made it fine. I loaded from a saved. I twig preset, not sure if the same would happen straight from the vst folder. Can't really report anything more reproducible as I don't know what makes that happen sometimes.

I was finally able to reproduce that myself (it's very intermittent and hard to reproduce, sometimes in some hosts it won't happen at all) and I think I've found and fixed it in the new 1.30 Beta 0 update. Would appreciate if you can test it. There's also going to be a new Anti-Aliasing method added, and FULL SKINNABILITY! (Both coming to the Beta soon, but the bug fix is ready for testing now.) Let's pick this conversation up in the new Beta thread, here...

But since PA seems to be his life, I find banning a bit harsh because he needs this board to keep in touch with potential customers, whom he desperately needs if I am not mistaken. At least he should not be banned permanently, just a little warning shot, like two weeks or so.

Maybe it would be better for him to work in-house for another company for some time, learn how to deal with fellow human beings again and at the same time enjoy the absence of economic pressure for a change, having a fixed income and thus no worries can be very nice. Being a freelancer myself I know that the pressure can build up in a very unhealthy way...
