I hope Rolf Wöhrmann reminded himself of what he once said about the prices of VST plugins.
He said that he can't understand why VST instruments have to be priced over 100 € and that he thinks that in the future, they will be cheaper. Of course, Waldorf should be in charge of deciding what they want to charge, but hopefully, they don't charge Largo-esque prices for it.
Of course, it's Waldorf, and you pay for the brand name too, but if you take a Blofeld e.g., it's very nicely priced, compared to a Virus TI snow, which almost costs 3 times as much, so it should be possible really. Btw, amazing work for them to not only fix their existing stuff, but also work on new products.

The new GUIs looks okay, but please tell me you didnt change a thing soundwise?? I love D-pole and Attack and wouldnt mind paying a little for the upgrade to get the new GUIs, IF the sound is excatly the same.

Anyone noticed the additional FXs (at the right) and the SAMPLES button (Osc section) at the new Attack GUI?masterhiggins wrote:Is there anything new sound-wise? Or is it just functional updates like a sequencer for attack? I'm wondering if ppgwave 2.2 will replace the PPG 3.v or something? I much prefer the old look that actually resembles a ppgwave.

The old Attack instead had 3 buttons for Closed HiHat, Open HiHat and Crash Cymbal samples.
Could not give more details now but this should be enough hints at the moment.
PPG Wave 2.2 is no replacement for PPG Wave 3.V and PPG wave 3.v will be still superior in terms of features (and alraedy has a nice GUI IMO). Did i mention that PPG Wave 3.V is one of my favorite synths...
The combination of PPG Wave 3.V, Largo and the new Nave plugin is really powerful and none of them fully replaces the others.
Also Attack (with the old and new version) is playable as a "normal" synth (for those who did not notice yet). With instruments 13-24 (1-12 is for single notes only) you could play instruments polyphonic and/or in a bigger key range using the notes C3 and up (the MIDI channel will then set which instrument is played in the upper part of the keyborad where e.g. Channel 12 is instrument 24 ; ths works with the old and new version of Attack and is found in the manual).

I have Waldorf Edition 1 and think that the new GUIs are ugly plastic-like, but this is of course a matter of taste.
I would be interested if there were new features and sounds to Attack and D-Pole.

The official Waldorf Nave website has a new page for the upcoming PC/Mac plugin (the other pages seem to be from the "old" iOS version):
http://www.waldorf-music.info/nave-vst-au-rtas
Found at the end of that page:

Ohh didnt notice. Okay well then its kind of a new product. Im sure some ppl will dig Attack with sample import, I personally dont have any need for that. I'll stick to Waldorf Edition v.1.Ingonator wrote:Anyone noticed the additional FXs (at the right) and the SAMPLES button (Osc section) at the new Attack GUI?masterhiggins wrote:Is there anything new sound-wise? 149 euros, Ouch!
So given this price, if you already had an iPad what would yo do:
Expend the 149 on a audio/midi interface (roland duo capture EX is the cheapest one with both midi and audio) and work with Nave as a hardware synth...
or get the Plug in?
By the way about elicenser: can you sue the soft version all the time and just use the dongle when you reinstall/move around? or once you use the hardware dongle the license can't be moved back to the software elicenser?

Ha ha ha, good luck with that
"Shipping: approx. 2nd quarter 2015 for 149,00 €"
Why it cost eight times more than the iOS version, oh yeah I forgot, it's a totally different market

Nave sounds great! I wonder how long of audio files can be imported to make wavetables?

Saying that i would have hoped that it'd be 99 €. Well, it probably was unrealistic to hope so...

They have frequent 30% off deals, probably twice a year.
