Thanks Mike...one more last thing, for the life of me i can not figure out.
On the Default Preset, the Synth Brass, which is not really Default, i can
not find a way to shut the ModWheel off, it adds LFO1 as Vibrato but i
do not see it assigned anywhere, i just wanna know how to shut it off.
I see the MW button in the LFOs but if i shut that off then it is constant.

Thanks

Each oscillator has LFO1 dialed in as an FM modulation source. Just turn the FM Amount knob on each oscillator to zero. (Or change to another modulation source, if you want something else modulating oscillator frequency.)

And yeah, you're right, it's not really a default. But I named it that because that's the simple voice structure I usually like to start from. It already has stereo routing and mod wheel vibrato set up, and two envelopes one for Amp and the other for Filter cutoffs. A very plain vanilla classic analog synth patch (but with the addition of the stereo routing through dual filters that you almost never see).

I'm thinking we might also get a default bank feature into this Beta. It will work just by saving a bank to Poly-Ana's configuration directory of a certain name, and new instances of Poly-Ana will automatically load it instead of the hard-wired in bank.

And I was also thinking the same thing for a default or "init" patch. But I need to find a place to put a button to load it. Really, it would only save a couple of mouse clicks compared to just loading your favorite starting-point .pap file (there would have to be two clicks as we'd definitely want a confirmation dialog after hitting the INIT button). You can load a patch file with 3 clicks, at least if the file open dialog comes up in the right folder (unfortunately, as the plug-in runs as if part of the host process, the host and other plug-ins can change the current folder on us).

Has anybody managed to hang a voice yet by playing and changing programs at the same time (or by any other method)? It's sounding like we have this fixed and are ready to move on to the new features! I hope to have the next Beta update out before the weekend is over. (I hope! ;) )

Has anybody had a voice hang yet? If not I'm REALLY happy. Bugs that don't happen every time are the hardest to debug.

The next update (Anti-Aliasing!) should be out in another couple of days. Stay tuned!

It has not happened to me yet.

Excellent! Thanks!

Hate to be the bearer of bad (ish) news, but I had that thing where when I loaded it, and it made no sound initially. No big deal, just had to change the preset and then sound kicked in. Deleting it and loading it again in the same session and it played fine right away. This was by loading a saved preset in my DAW (bitwig preset).

I don't recall if it was always the case that the sound kicked in when the preset changed or if it used to take a relaunch of the plug-in. I think maybe it did.

How's the anti-aliasing update going?

Laughed my ass off. Yes he was behaving badly, even though his comments were hilarious. Still a lifetime banning seems a bit over reacted to me :P Those are just words after all said in frustration and anger.

Any possibility to have him back here if he makes big big apologies banner to his admiral quality page?

Yes just words but outrageously aggressive and nowhere close to civilized behavior on a forum. I've rarely seen such venomous rants and insults in heated debates around here, let alone over a minor technical glitch that prevented successive posts for a few minutes. Oh the humanity!

It sucks because it's good to have him around. It's good for staying up on Poly-Ana development and as a place to help him bug test. I've also noticed him being helpful to others. His support is excellent for his product as well. I just don't understand why he has to be such an asshole online so often. It doesn't make sense. I mean I kind of get why he flies off the handle sometimes when he gets sick of hearing people tell him how much the Poly-Ana GUI sucks, but I don't understand calling the site admin idiots and swearing at mods, telling them they suck at their job like a child having a temper tantrum. I can't very well blame the mods for getting fed up with it. Though I do hope he is able to come back at some point.

The Admiral can be contaced at his own website: http://www.admiralquality.com/about/

And he is probably also found in the GearSlutz forum ?
