Plugins scanning in T7 - mac: just awful.

Well it shouldn't really, I'm just trying to think of anything that might access the plugin files that might somehow modify the date stamps they contain. Perhaps you could do a "Get Info" on some of the plugin files and check the modification time manually? See if they're recent or the date of the last update?

Happy to report that an update re-scan was pretty damn fast. Both AU and VST3 took less than 15 seconds each. The VST folder took a bit longer...almost 90 seconds. Three updated NuGen plugins took the majority of that time. Note: I did not try this from scratch. It was an update scan.

Are you sure that these are plugins that actually failed? It might be that they are 32-bit plugins and you're running the 64-bit version or vice versa? I have VallhallaRoom and UberMod working correctly here...

I think you are right. Those must be the 32 bit versions because the Valhalla stuff is showing up in the plugin browser to be placed!

Good, that's to be expected (although it's a little confusing). Those plugins won't take any time when scanning though, they're just ignored.

Running T7 on Linux (Debian 8) and got the same problems with plugin scanning. The scan process hangs a lot and does not scan all my plugins. The failed plugins are working without problems in other hosts (Renoise, Bitwig).

You'd need to provide some concrete detail for anybody to investigate that. All my u-he plugins, for example Bazille (Instrument) or Satin (FX), are not recognized by the T7 scanning process. The scan dialog hangs and after some minutes of no action I cancel the dialog und the plugin is added to the list in big red letters. This is the same for all my u-he plugins, all 64 bit. Rebooting or restarting Tracktion does not make any difference.
The funny thing is, on another host also a Debian 8 OS the same plugins are scanned successfully.
