With chords there there are sometimes clicks which I think are due to voice stealing as the synth only has 6 voices.wagtunes wrote:I never realized how clicky the TAL envelopes are on short percussion patches. I've done everything I can think of to get rid of them (they're intermittent) but nothing works. It's randomly on the attack. And it's really bad.
And Noisemaker is quite a hog

Except this is on single notes on a percussion patch.fluffy_little_something wrote:With chords there there are sometimes clicks which I think are due to voice stealing as the synth only has 6 voices.wagtunes wrote:I never realized how clicky the TAL envelopes are on short percussion patches. I actually like the envelopes, they are snappy.
What I noticed, though, is that one has to hit the keys quite hard and short to make the release sound when the decay is set to short values.
The oscillators and envelopes seem get retriggered with every keystroke, which is pretty good for percussive sounds. Try the phase knob, it has some influence on the attack.

Why are there already so many songs on the current OSC page, are they from a past Noismaker challenge?

From 2 OSCs ago, not NoiseMaker tracks, it'll get cleared out soon (there are 2 SoundCloud groups that get alternated between).Darksynth FX wrote:Why are there already so many songs on the current OSC page, are they from a past Noismaker challenge?

That's fixed now, but I still can't change the group image, so waiting on them to fix it.Darksynth FX wrote:Why are there already so many songs on the current OSC page, are they from a past Noismaker challenge?

Hey, is it just me or does detune not work on this synth? I've tinkered with it and haven't found a change in sound in the 5-ish hours I've been at this.
EDIT: Whoops, nvm, it's probably because I got an older version.
EDIT 2: Double whoops, I do have the most recent version. My question stands!

Does Oscilator 1 and 2 have their volume up on the master section?Dragonsongz wrote:Hey, is it just me or does detune not work on this synth? I've tinkered with it and haven't found a change in sound in the 5-ish hours I've been at this.

Hmm seems to work just fine, it does an semi-random "analog"-ish detune, it seems. Just load the default patch, set to poly 6, set detune all the way up, set the release pretty high, and you can hear it pretty well.Dragonsongz wrote:Hey, is it just me or does detune not work on this synth?

Huh. That's kind of disappointing. I mean, I hear it, but I did have to play the notes in chords, and with a high release time (as you said), and the change was so slight too.z.prime wrote:Hmm seems to work just fine, it does an semi-random "analog"-ish detune, it seems. Oh well, I'll make due without it. Thanks for the help though!
