The look of plugins is very important to me, so I understand where you're coming from. I was looking at Fabfilter and Izotope plugins before buying my Melda plugins. I think Izotope Ozone has the nicest looking GUI out right now, but it's a resource hog and doesn't have the functionality of Melda's plugins, nor the free updates for life. :)

I also wanted a suite of plugins that had a similar look and feel, and that's exactly what you can achieve with Melda's plugins, and you can change the styles if you ever want something new, which is a really cool feature that these other companies don't have. There is also a program that Melda put out which lets you create custom skins.

Here's what I'm currently using. It's a nice, simple, clean design - and I'm happy with it.

I agree. You shouldn't put all those ugly looking styles on the website. You should just put some clean, simple ones like I posted above. Melda should also improve its branding with a new logo, and pay someone to correct all of the grammar mistakes in the plugin literature.

Maybe the Minimalistic theme should be more front and center on the page emphasising the general digital stance :D?
Everyone is posting their themes all of a sudden http://imgur.com/uDxngyQ

My style, with different colours that represent the type of plugin (following Meldas official colours)

That is downright hideous.
I don't care for that one, either, but this other theme made by the same person is pretty nice.

That looks great! Live skin is 'LT' I suppose, could you share that Melda style with us? Actually it looks good with that Ableton skin. :tu:

Thanks. Yes, it is the LT skin. This is the nicest skin I've found for Live. I made the Melda style to match it. You can view the full-size here: http://i.imgur.com/87nnorm.png

I can send the style, but how do I do it? Do I just click on it and then click export and save it as an .mpresets file?

EDIT: Let me know if the attachment works.

i think the look of the GUI is serviceable but i'd like to see popup help bubbles and more right clicking command.

in MADEq for example, i'd like to be able to select a filter type by right clicking, like Pro-Q2 does.
instead of having a window open like it is presently.

Help for any control can be shown by either pressing F1 (if your DAW doesn't steal that key) or by pressing the ? button on the toolbar for the window it's in.

You'll need to go to the styles folder (it's C:\ProgramData\MeldaProduction\MTexturedStyles here), ZIP up the style and upload that.

It only has the main style types there, like: metro, minimalistic etc. It doesn't have the custom one I made.

I got it to work fine, just import the preset under the color section of the Metro theme.
Make sure to choose no when it asks if you want to replace them. It will then add the colors, otherwise
it will replace them all.

@Lotus 9 nice color theme btw :)

Ah ha, I misunderstood ... I thought you has designed a new Style. Yes, your preset is a "Colour Settings" preset.

What exactly is so hideous? I like it too it's much better then my own attempts.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Hehe classic - neverending conversation where user A says that style 1 is great and style 2 is hiddeous and should be removed, and user B says the exact opposite :D.
Folks, find a style you like, then go make some music! :D That's an order! :D
