As long as you press save in the patch manager area for each instance before closing DAW it seems to load ok on reloading the project, however there is no confirmation whether patch saved properly.
Also note that there have to be consecutively numbered patches in the tf4programs folder for this to work. e.g. if you have saved program70 but there is no program69 in the folder then program 70 will not load automatically on reopening the DAW, and you need to go to the synth instance and press restore to reload it.

BTW the patch loading is still a mess, half the time when selecting a patch from the list it does not load the one selected. Using the DAW's patch manager seems ok though on first try. Renaming patches also seems problematic at best, as the name box does not override the DAW shortcuts.)
I'll get working on this, the selection boxes for patches have been driving my crazy, too. And btw. the code has been open source for a while. Just in case anybody is curious ;)

I got similar experience in FL Studio. I create a patch and save it but when reloading the project the saved preset is nowhere to be found. But the good thing is that FL Studio seems to be saving the settings and tweaks in project level. It reload the last settings of the synth.

It doesn't remember presets in FL Studio 12 64-bit... I wanted to participate but this way it will be pretty hard doing it, so maybe next time then.

Done some tests..the preset will load only if clicking the restore button... strange

It seems to remember settings in Reaper but no preset name

For everyone that can't save presets in FL.. DO NOT use the INIT presets at all. Select the first Saw preset and use that as your initialized sound. That way your DAW will recall your sounds in the project, also if you want to save any presets save as a .fst in FL rather than internally. :tu:

overwriting existing presets might do the trick then thanks

I only hope we don't drive you insane :D

There have to be consecutively numbered patches in the tf4programs folder (which should be in the same folder as the tunefish4.dll) for the DAW to properly load the patches on startup.
e.g. if you have saved program70 but there is no program69 in the folder then program 70 will not load automatically on reopening the DAW, and you need to go to the synth instance and press restore to reload it.
I think it is reading the saved patches on startup until it reaches a number that doesn't exist and then stops.

My entry for this months challenge.

https://soundcloud.com/antti-luode/aluode-tunefish

Done using 10 instances of tunefish. Some effectors instances for reverb and 2 limiters.

It was a little unstable at beginning (crashed flstudio).. But then it got smoother..

The flp file (35 aluode tunefish.zip) is at:

Oh crap, I had no idea the OSC is like a train running over me :S
Well it was fun last time, I suppose it can't hurt this time around ;)

Out of curiosity, what platforms do people here use? When I post builds, does anyone require 32bit windows builds? Anyone here using Linux?

Post

fyi picture on soundcloud groups will remain until some kind of bug is fixed on their. Hopefully it's not too confusing

Hi,
I'm relatively new here. I thought I'd give this thing a shot.

I'm on Win 7 32bit, but I suspect you'll find people using pretty much everything here.

True it will hurt... but you are a hero!

I'm using 64 bit windows 7, 32 or 64 bit Cubase, 64bit FL.

I'd say 32bit windows is important. A few people do use linux.

There are also a few OSX users.
