How can I set default gui for all plugins at once?

It would be easier if they all shared the same colour presets but what is in some is not in all. Can't even see the default ones from Darkstar's screenshot in any of them.MeldaProduction wrote: it's easy enough to set them up to grey via presets,

That's because I created them all for a Style that I am working on. As you have found, they are not in the factory styles.
The Exported presets file is attached.

Caveat: They may not be suitable for many Styles. I use them is a modified Ozone style.
Having said that:
Having said that:
- open a plug-in,
- click [Settings], then [Style],
- in the 'Color settings' panel, click [Presets],
- in the 'Presets' window, click 'Root' in the folder tree, then [Add] below it (to make a new folder,
- type in a name and click the tick button,
- click that folder to select it,
- click [Import]
- browse to the presets file, select it and click the tick button,
- click [yes] to overwrite the folder contents (it's empty at the moment)
- click the tick button.

A good point by darkstar - by changing the first 8 style color presets you can effectively change the default colors to whatever you like. I'm just not exactly sure if next installation won't revert that - but it probably shouldn't, it will just add the normal presets after that.

Yes, that's what I tried, but after installing the update all my colours were reverted back to the melda ones.
This needs some attention to make it simple and straightforward. I just want ALL plugs to stay in a dark color scheme ALL the time. Way too much hassle.

How do I get rid of the dots in Futuristic? I only use this style because it's nice and clean but then it spoils it by having dots. I tried a third party Futuristic ND skin but the knobs are too jaggy in that version, in the original skin they are smooth. So I just want to remove the dots.

If you meant the dotted appearance of the panels and windows backgrounds I have just made a modified version here. If Vojtech says OK (as it is his Style) then I'll post it later.aMUSEd wrote:How do I get rid of the dots in Futuristic? Thanks but how do you do that in the first place? It doesn't seem to be an option in the style editor

Ah, If you have the Structured Style Editor, you can do it yourself:
-- in Windows / Image / Normal,
-- turn off the Power button for the Image (that's the item that has the dots), and collapse that panel
-- enable it for Rendered,
-- set Color to 7F7F7FFF,
-- in Global / Colors,
-- change Main Color 0 to 5A6A7FFF, or thereabouts
-- Export it and save it as a new Textured Style.
-----------------------------------
An alternative would be to
-- in the Structured Style Editor, load the Futuristic style,
-- Export it As something,
-- edit the windowimagenormal.tga file to remove the dots (don't worry that it is red),
-- save it with a new name,
-- back in the Structured Style Editor, in Windows / Image / Normal,
-- clock 'Load image' and select your edited image,
-- Export it and save it as a new Textured Style.

I can't see any options for importing images or exporting styles though.

They are in the Structured Style Editor - I've edited my posts above to make it clearer.
