Because of confirmation bias.

You think the only change is enabling Satin and when you see something on a spectrum analyzer your brain is convinced there must be something to hear.

No human can hear a -120 dB sound.

Some even believe that some people can hear ultrasound.

I think not in this case. I hear noise when Satin is on.
And volum of Satin noise is bigger then volume of blood runing in my ear cups. So it is nothing special to hear that.

I believe you hear something but it's definitely not a noise generated at -120dB

You just hear a noise from something else.

So why this happens only when Satin is on? I do not hear noise from other plugins i use.

Since Studio One Spectrum Analizers on master bus shows audio at about -120 on peaks i might assume that bettween Studio One and my ears is audio Interface (Lynx Hilo) and headphones.
I cannot find out what can be wrong.
Does my audio interface compresses low level sound?
I am not aware of this feature even if i wanted it.

Of course, Plugins are never used on their own. I can easily imagine a scenario where someone would insert a compressor and add some gain after a plugin that introduces noise. Especially when you add another compressor on the bus and/or master. So it may be helpful to check for those types of situations, it might bring down noise considerably.

Not sure if I'm being naive or not by answering such a strange question but:

By default (as in just adding the preset and not touching anything) you'll get a noise floor of around -110db. I *can* hear this if I turn my headphone-amp right up to maximum volume but ... well that's quite loud !
Turning down the hiss and asperity will reduce this to -134db (I can't hear this even when turning it up to maximum)
Clicking Bypass Tape (so just the circuit modelling) will essentially drop this to ~-infinity

So the noise you're hearing is .... well the noise of tape - If you don't want tape emulation, don't use a tape emulator !

P.s. In can you are confused how to download it.
Press white button in right upper coner which is to the right to yellow button.

No registration is required. So if it asks for it probably you did something wrong.

It is pretty easy to hear noise from blood running in your ears cups. So i gave reference that noise i hear is louder then noise from blood runing in my ear cups. Because not awrybody understands "dB" megermants including me.

I do not remember i had such loud noise from Slate Digital VTM. And this company is known to make true high end plugins.

I might want to have both. But that noise is disturbing me.

There's noise at -60dB in the file. Satin's noise however is at -120dB and thus 1000 times more quiet.

So you either recorded noise from something else, or you need to learn how to use Satin properly.

Yes. I do hear by my ears that noise is loud. And i was thinking it cannot be -120dB. But for some reasons Studio One shows about-120 dB.

Here screen shot of Satin. What is wrong?

Not sure and Sascha is not in the office today.

Have you tried lowering Asperity to 0.00?
