This is a good example of a company that spreads out updates for stuff that coulda and shoulda been included two versions ago. Great news though.

Right. The Rack Extension SDK needed to develop and release plugins for Reason, as well as Reason itself, were the only things updated. There were no features or changes other than the ones needed to accommodate the new RE SDK.Studio Saturn wrote:wait let me get is strait, The SDK is the one which is updated right? A couple of devs released RE's at the same time that showcase some of the features, though. Blamsoft updated their synth to include sampling/sample (wavetable) loading, and Love One released a new Granulator II type plugin.

But the great thing here is that it's all free update, even though it could easily be a major version feature. At least props release great stuff between the majors and doesn't hold everything to a priced upgrade like one other company that also obviously likes to set the price to the higher end of the scale

It is great listening their users BTW but how do you think it is going to be a paid update? They haven't included any synth to began with which they had to. Plus Even though it is a great update for Re developers, still as a user you are expected to buy rack extension which are capable of sample loading. Hopefully they will introduce on version .5 a synth and updated mastering suit and so on. Still the simple darker GUI on mixer is not coming. Anyways, congrats to PH for bringing this up and hope they will continue to do so.Distorted Horizon wrote:But the great thing here is that it's all free update, even though it could easily be a major version feature. Can't say "never" since Live finally got it, but I'm still going with "never"keel wrote:Now it would be logical to add PDC too, right Prop's? What people do with all these extensions, if there is no PDC. Jesus.

This is excellent news for the Rack Extension format. I bet we'll be having some kicka$$ stuff coming our way. Nice one Prop's!
