The upcoming update is very interesting, it will be much more flexible and effective to do complex chain.
Coming soon: HOFA SYSTEM 1.5
Aside from innovations and fixes, there will be one particularly inspiring new feature:
You can “fold” as many modules as you want into one new module.
We were thus able to create lots of compact delays, flangers, chorus and special FX and put them in the preset browser.
And you can easily fold your own module chains, add controls and insert the single, folded module into your channelstrips.

I am testing System 1.5 and I am liking it a lot. I have a couple of questions/requests.
Modulation is bipolar only? I can´t find a way to make it unipolar.
Sometimes the submenus or subwindows opened get hidden behind the main window. It happens specially in New Sonic Arts Freestyle, it is such a pity because HOFA S1 would be such a great plugin inside a modular vst chainer like Freestyle, but I can not access important functions, for example adding automatable parameters or modulation.
Speaking of automatable parameters, it seems that you hace to assign them every time you open a preset, even if you assigned them before and saved a preset. Maybe some kind of macro controllers always accesible would be nice?
There will be more modules in the near future they say, more information about what we could expect would be nice too.
Probably I will buy it this month, I am liking System 1 a lot and seeing a lot of potential in it.

Hi Fernando,
I also answered your email.
Thank you for testing and getting hands on our plugin.
The modulation range can be set directly in the modulation window. This way a unipolar usage should also be possible.
Regarding the windows it might help to move the position of the actual window or to close and re open it again.
The automation is a bit tricky due to the actual mapping. The mapping is done dynamically so if a parameter would automatically be exported for automation, the host's automation lane could be meant for a totally different parameter.
There will be some great new modules, but I'm not at liberty to tell yet.
A rough overview of additional modules we have planed is shown at the bottom off https://hofa-plugins.de/en/plugins/hofa-system/.
Besides this, there will also be free additions (for licensed HOFA SYSTEM users) like the CompListenMic module added in V1.5.

I wanted to say thanks to HOFA.
I bought System1 very early and quickly decided to sell my other modular fx plugins (like MXXX). The HOFA interface is much cleaner, sorted and very easy to use. You can't go wrong using the modules because the ui guides you like an assistant. For example m/s, multiband or dual-mono modules provide slots which show where to drop things when hovering over them. System1 also spits out a notification if the plugin latency changed.
The modules can do complex stuff but are basic enough to quickly build bigger chains dedicated to specific tasks. I felt in love with the subchaining feature as well as the feedback module and there are already many useful presets like channel strips, experimental & fx, different reverbs, destortions or delays. The global mix parameter & output gain are fantastic details.
For the future I would like to see my other HOFA plugins as modules in it, but I understand they might be too complex to use as building blocks without much hassle (something I already noticed with other modular fx).

Problem is, none of the FX are editable. You can't even change the delay time of a delay. It's an "as is" thing which is pretty useless other than to get an idea of what Hofa System sounds like. Sounds great. But if you want something you can actually use, unless you're happy with the presets, you need to upgrade to the paid version.

So that means ALL presets should be available.Alle 300+ HOFA-Presets sind ladbar, aber nur eingeschränkt editierbar.
This is from the basic site and it is NOT true. For example in the dynamics section there is NONE of the drum presets (same with other categories) available, all kind of "blacked out", same with guitar, limiter...... In some parts presets are available but that description is more then misleading. I would not have installed it (with first download manager, then the hofa itself) and hope it will uninstall correctly at least.
I have asked support about it, maybe I get something wrong, but the description was absolutely clear and otherwise I would not have downloaded.
I would have been fine with all the presets for trying it out so I must agree to Wag that if you could not even change ANYTHING in some presets thats really kind of "not really useable", maybe a restriction on available moduls and really ALL presets available which only use these moduls would be more useable.

In short, it's deceptive advertising. I mean there isn't even any fine print anywhere BEFORE downloading explaining the limitations. At least none that I can find. If somebody else knows where the disclaimer is, please point it out.tatanka wrote:So that means ALL presets should be available.Alle 300+ HOFA-Presets sind ladbar, aber nur eingeschränkt editierbar.

I will say this much. It's a great way to get people to download and then get them to cave into buying it after their disappointment at what they, in reality, actually got.
I don't understand why companies do things like this.

Yes you can. You just can't sync to host tempo.wagtunes wrote:I downloaded and installed it.Chris-S wrote:Hi,
