Ok...3 hours working in 2.0 on a new project...Feeling very uncomfortable with big context menus and buttons...I don't know what to do now... I'm very dissapointed. I'll provide feedback in Beta user group as soon as i got accepted but i doubt this will be changed anyway...

I find it really cool. Was one of my submitted feature requests.

I'm running Bitwig on a touchscreen laptop. I'm stoked to hear the interface is more touch-friendly.

I just wanna hear/see about the piano roll... :) Is AT LEAST a little bit faster to create drums/notes on 2.0 as opposed to 1.x?

It's not bad from the time I have spent with it it is lacking some UI uniformity. One main one that I will point out that isn't a big deal at first but as a mac/occasional Linux user it makes me incredibly mad if not frustrated. I just wish there was a option to change it. As vsts have it on the left. I also understand that it is one piece of software meant for all operating systems this little oversight would drive a longtime Mac User crazy but it is beta.

Core Audio and System wide UI scaling have you ever used 4/5k displays on a PC? Good luck nuff said. :ud: but this is not the topic for this so moving on.

Yes, I too am very fast with such a little track pad, on my MBP. I actually went out and found a Logictech keyboard, that duplicates the MBP touchpad functionality, for my Windows7 box that I run bigger productions on. I doubt a big touch screen will ever provide me a way to work faster, as I need the tactile feel of physical joysticks, mixer faders etc to feel comfy when multitasking a mix and doing stuff on-the-fly. I just hate being forced to look for visual feedback, it doesn's feel musical at all to me. When closing my eyes I see the music as moving shapes and colors and that's where the real thing is happening :-)

What I've found immediatly annoying, is that they've moved the clip editor to the top panel. Forces me to use keybinds, because the mouse travel distance to those features is much greater now.

But otherwise it's great.
