Check demo, like it or move on. Who gives a f**k about your concerns? Get a life dude.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

pekbro, no problems, and come on with your critics, it's ideal time after all, since for V11 I may make some bigger changes.
As for "awareness", hehe well, that's because until recently there was quite literally no marketing
. No my collegue is finally contacting the known "names" and check the artists sections, we have quite a few now. They are getting us quite some feedback too. What I like to focus on is development, I just don't care about marketing too much, I just like to make good stuff, it's making a good living so what more do I need
. In fact, the last several years I'm trying to gather all the technology for the "mixing revolution"
, which is actually something I dream about for years, because for years I'm trying to mix a certain project of mine, and I'm just too lazy to do it the old way, still waiting to make it easier for me
.
As for "trashing other devs", it's true that I don't really compliment other devs much. So fyi I like stuff from voxengo, u-he, valhalla for instance, but the truth is, I just don't use it. And another thing is that I hate lots of stuff
, and so if someone comes here and says "hey, this thing X is much better than yours Y" and as far as I'm concerned I think X sucks big time, then I won't be reluctant to say that. I won't be saying something X is good if it in my opinion isn't, like you, that's how it should be. If everyone would be honest, everything would be easier. That certainly doesn't mean people would agree more with each other
.
And btw. sure I'm checking other company's ideas, everyone does that. Just look how much has been copied from our stuff. I don't have a problem with that, that's what drives the development!
But I always try to add something the other stuff doesn't have, and I'm nearly sure I always succeeded. And now they can copy my ideas, no problem with that! Eventually we'll create something perfect! Or not...

See that was a great response, thanks vojtech. I am a fan believe it or not. That's why I subscribe to this forum and own over half of your products. I'm not here to troll, if everyone could say the same there would be no arguments at all.
-cheers.

Thank you! And I know! But you know how it is, if you'd get to a forum of another dev with some critics, there's a strong chance they would kick you too
. Anyways no hard feelings here at all!

Can't recommend Melda plugins enough. I own the Total bundle and I find most of the stuff extremely useful.
The sound quality is great, CPU usage is overall low and the possibilities are vast!
No time for more details, just wanted to chime in.

Re. marketing, which I do not mind at all.
There must be a reason why, some time ago, "everybody" seemed to love SoundToys plugins. Now, "everybody" loves UAD DSP and plugins. Coincidence? Or fashion + marketing?
This does not mean these products are not good. It is just that media presence is a poor indicator, I think.
BTW, this month I noticed Melda being mentioned much more in the main magazines. Coincidence, or Vojtech marketing?

pekbro wrote:Mostly we just are expected to take the devs word on it without any explanation or technical details other than these are the most innovative and best sounding products available. Even the MIT based experts at Izotope only want to steal his ideas. *rolls eyes.
Anyway, if they are the end all plugin line for you, then congrats. Many of us are not so lucky.
pekbro wrote:I take offense to this and ask the difficult questions as I tend to do. Those questions being in line with the topic. If they are sooo good, why is it we rarely "if ever" hear that from the rest of the industry? Or even well known experts. Do you really believe that's because he's not friendly with them? I've seen folks like Urs or Sean Costello comment on competitive products positively many times.
Yet they are all silent or seemingly unaware of the Melda line. Amazing being that they are the greatest and most innovative ever.
Of course you do. Just as civil as your words?pekbro wrote:I haven't changed my mind at all. I was always a fan. Just not a fanboy.
I do prefer civil discussions though.

I appreciate people that say what they think. It makes life a bit harder on the short term, because you have to deal with the different opinions, but it makes it so much easier on the long term!
Stay true to your principles Vojtech!
