What makes you think I influenced the date? You are wrong. I knew I may change my mind about coming as Lands End to London IS a long way, so I just agreed to the date when it was decided.chico.co.uk wrote:Uh, sorry, but saying you're going to something, then deciding you're not, but not telling anyone is pretty bad ... wasn't there a vote about what day it was to be? Speaking as someone who works shifts that sometimes cover weekends, i couldn't make any of the proposed dates, but if people said they'd go, then didn't, you're doing me out of going - If it looked like a low turnout it would have been moved to another date ...
I thought it was an informal gathering of enthusiasts?
You lot seem like a bunch of puritanical fanatics!
I do have sympathy for the guy who drove from Devon for a wash out, too bad. But no one says you had to have a miserable time. If you did have a fab time, what does it matter that some poeple didn't attend? It would be their loss not yours.
I'm not into Jules, or Traction infact, what draws me to meet with forum members is the sense of a creative pool of like minded people, it seems like I'm mistaken.

Hmm. Just managed to get time to jump on here since friday.
It wasn't a wash out as such. except the beer garden was when it rained.
It was very good to meet Woody from Mackie, Jules, Chagzuki and Rack Bitz and the conversations ranged - not just about Tracktion but the culture that surrounds it and it's users.
Unfortunately, not having much chance to get out these days, I got drunk very quickly on the Furry Ferret so 'missed' out on a lot in the end.
Rack Bitz, it would be good if you posted your picture here. I appreciate you are a bit pissed off with the turnout but I guess it's not easy for a lot of people. I found it difficult to arange and I only had to come from Reading! Gettin lost on the underground when drunk at midnight wasn't so funny though............

well, apologies from me as one who couldn't make it. i wouldn't have added much to the tracktion discussions but i'd have given muz a run for the money in the getting pissed department.
in my defence i'll just add i did say i couldn't make it before hand (infact i'm not sure i ever said i could), and i never voted for friday. i'm in the same boat as chico, if it had moved i could have made it.
glad those who made it had a good time. hopefully they'll be a next time.

The amount of venem surrounding not attending a Tracktion fest is complete overkill.
Next time (if ever) another meet is proposed who in their right mind is going to want to say they'll come if this is the reaction if you change your mind?
Basically only those within a 10 mile radius of Jules's house will dare to commit.
Talk about off-putting

when the thread was started by jules i got really excited but soon realised that i wouldn't be able to make it, so made that clear from the start. i really wish that i could have gone tho (i've moved house twice in the past two months so far :s ). thankfully i made it to KVR:MCR tho- but i'm really sad that Tfest wasn't so well attended. i hope the timing of any future event is more convenient for myself and others, and i'm disappointed that i didn't get to meet those who went
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.

Believe it or not most of the people here are completly the opposite to you!Rack Bitz wrote:hey tingle your not into tracktion

Up until recently you could get intelligent feed back from fellow musicians who use Tracktion. Which is why I post here.
You've only just joined the Tracktion community and you've created a mixer. Tracktion is promoted for it's lack of mixer! So why are you here?
In regard to the meeting, any reasonable person would of said, "hey shame you couldn't make it but 600 miles (ok not 800) is a long way, i understand why you cancelled, never mind, here are some pics, this is what you missed."
Your reaction has been totally unfriendly and not in the spirit of a community. Basically you feel sorry for Jules and are pissed off at wasting your time and money, and you blame people on the forum for your ills.
