I don't think TB does sales. Upgrade discounts sometimes apply for a limited time when a new product drops.steffensen wrote: Thu Oct 09, 2025 5:14 pm Seems there is a standalone version included now, anyone tried it yet? (hoping for a black friday deal)

Maybe stupid question.... butmultree wrote: Sun Nov 26, 2023 9:06 pm seems like I slept on a lot of cool plug-ins.... I'm digging this. Thankfully my headphones are listed and the corrected sound is not half bad. I also like the limiter which seems to be quite nice sounding and unobtrusive.
When and why do you apply the limiter inside a headphone correction plug-in

the limiter is there to ensure no clipping. Due to the frequency changes the volume in certain frequency areas changes quite drastically and the limiter helps to avoid overshoots. ARC for example calculates this and instead of a limiter it reduces the output which you then have to compensate for.sokoleski wrote: Thu Oct 09, 2025 9:36 pm

I used the limiter as an actual limiter though. I simply disabled the correction part. It is a VERY basic limiter but a nice one at that.

I use Morphit, but not the limiter in that. I want to hear when I'm clipped on the master. So my last plugin on the master is just a hard clipper (during the mixing, obviously).

Just trying Morphit for the first time.
Do you folks run the Morph at 100%?
I definitely hear the masked lower octave I was missing before on my Neumann NDH30's (it was there, unlike some Senny's). I lose a lot of weight on vocals, and have to get used to that because I am just so used to hearing things that way.
I pulled out some old Sennheiser HD558's, the bass is huge but I think that's a lot of distortion, because it just doesn't have the subs that the Neumanns does.
Listening to a lot of my stuff and also a lot of reference tracks. Hopefully getting some mixes in this week to see how things translate.
When I did searches I saw a lot of people say they set the morph to 50% or 75% or... ? Anyway, going with 100% for the moment. Limiter Off. And clicking Crossfeed on and off while I figure things out.
Anyway, happy to have easy headphone correction on Linux!
EDIT: Walked to the store to get an energy drink. Feeling way more confident right now with fresh ears.

Usually I run it below 100% so I can understand the inherent headphone "flavor" it's correcting, I find I make better mix decisions that way.TechHaus wrote: Tue May 12, 2026 2:24 am Just trying Morphit for the first time.

Still at 100% Harman w/ crossover on my NDH30's, and telling myself "you're listening to speakers now, buddy."
When I turn off crossover, things fall into place where my brain knows they should be on headphones, but I still like the correction.
I will try HD280 Pros tonight at home. I just haven't used closed back headphones enough this week.
Also happy that some consumer JBL noise cancelling headphones that I have are on the list.
For most of my music life, headphones were only for reducing microphone bleed while tracking. But I have a narrow room now, and even with all of the acoustic treatment I have, the arguments as to WHY headphones should be my primary monitors have won me over. Something like Morphit will completely end the debate in my head, finally. Happy something like this came to Linux.
