Ah, sorry it didn't work out for you

Np man! That's why native system wide solution would be an amazing thing to have

I've tested the Demo of ARC 3. The measurement results are very similar to the ones I made with Sonarworks. There are tiny differences with the correction eq curve and the personal listening impression. In relation to all other factors I can't say this or that is the right one. Both seem plausible for me. ARC 3 has interesting features which I like but unfortunately there's no systemwide component. And that's the point. All what I listen to on my PC runs through Reference. That's very important for me and I don't want to run an extra software to host a plugin in systemwide environment. I'll wait for the Sonarworks update until the following problem gets solved. Hopefully.viewtopic.php?f=1&t=541775
Nevertheless I like ARC 3 quite well. Good handling and features.

I've seen some mention of and questions about certain things in ARC 3 so I thought it might be useful to post some of that here. About the level changing while using ARC 3:
When I insert the plug-in and load my Measurement, I have a strong level decrease on my monitors.
This is normal.
The ARC 3 processor, in order to fix your room acoustics, needs to apply cuts to the spectrum areas where the room is boosting the sound.
In the same way it needs to add a boost where the room is attenuating the sound.
For this reason, the ARC 3 processor needs to get enough headroom to fit the maximum possible boost it can apply, which is 12 dB.
Not all rooms will need 12 dB of boost, but that’s the worst-case scenario.
The TRIM knob is where this attenuation takes place, if this knob is pushed into the “red” area there is a possibility to clip and overload the DAW outputs.

I think IK really has hurt the first sales by not adding System-Wide option. I also believe alot of people who waited for this (including me) update will be skipping and instead going to competition that supports system wide.
IK dont understimate system-wide because:
no matter how good configuration you have, you still have to get used to the sound and if you are using your comptuter to listen to music, to reference you cannot get used to the sound and expect suddenly to do the right decisions when mixing with ARC. It doesnt work like that.
I think it would be wise to go back to the drawing table and add system-wide option in upcoming month or as soon as possible if you dont want to loose potential sales.

Optimal number of audio plugins is one more than you currently have.

Hold on a second. No system wide mode ? After it has been discussed over a f*ing decade ago in the IK forums ? And not been introduced in Arc 2 ? And not been introduced in Arc 2.5 ? And not been patched in in all that time ? What a failure.
And please correct me that I'm wrong but it has no quick setup mode either? A mode where you don*t have to do a bazillion measurements to see the graph in order to help setting up speakers and furniture ? Which, again, has also been suggested a decade ago ? And not been introduced in Arc 2 ? And not been introduced in Arc 2.5 ? And not been patched in in all that time ? What a failure.
Disappointing to say the least. Tho to be fair the rest looks good and hopefully sounds nice too.

I'm also very disappointed. I own ARC 2 but system wide is a necessary feature today.
No upgrade to #3 until it's there.

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

I impulsively clicked mic & Arc 3 preorder combo, assuming system-wide was not a question. IK will have to implement a solution, not in the next paid upgrade and ASAP. I’m seriously thinking about returning the item and rather add some extra and get Sonaworks solution. I hope IK understands what a show-stopper this is.

Not much help on the Mac and Catalina, though…

The full bundle is on preorder and has a crossgrade price of only 149.99 and you can also use JamPoints toward that. You can also get the software-only upgrade now for only 49.99 and the MEMS mic is available separately for only 69.99 so that is already cheaper than even the 149.99 pricing. Plus you could use JamPoints on the microphone to bring that down even further for a really great deal.
Edit - forgot to mention I've brought this up anyway, even though there's the downside of still waiting for the bundle it would be more clear to have a similar coupon on the preorder bundle.
