Thanks to all for the feedback!
@resistent: here are responses to your questions
- I've not looked into Zebrify yet, but in principle I imagine I should be able to make it work without too much effort. So yes, I'll do it!
- I definitely plan on doing a regular Zebra (non-HZ) version a little later this week. Its just that making the "colorized" version involved a lot of edits that need to be backported to the Zebra version, so it will take a bit of time and didn't want to start that until the overall design philosophy is nailed down. Ultimately, I plan to have (i) Z2/ZHZ/Zebrify versions, (ii) each available in all blue or multicolored, and (iii) with the 5 knob alternatives available for any of them.
- Good idea re: making the globals a different color, and will see how it looks.
- Will also try on the module line. Don't want it to look cluttered, but I think I see what you are getting at.
- On the perform page, I assume you are referring to the original monochromatic version where I kept the 4 separate XY colors. I agree and in the latest multicolor version, I replaced the 4 separate XY colors with yellow, which is I think better. I plan to backport that change to the mono version and make it blue.
- to clarify, on the screenshot you posted I assume the problem is the way those types of crescent knobs "fade in" rather than have a constant color throughout? If so I agree it looks weird and can fix that. But let me know if the issue is different
@the.new.me
-good catch on the scanning bar, and will fix it
-also will fix the zebra version color
-the bottom tabs font size is harder, and still trying to work out the best solution. I may have to revert to bitmaps, but need to see how to make them look decent.

All,
Here is a new version of the Wombat Flat skin (version 0.9), which includes both a colorized and a blue version, versions for both ZHZ and Z2, and all the alternative knobs. https://www.dropbox.com/s/yoygr1i05qbk2 ... 0.zip?dl=0
Screenshots are attached as well. Because of all the different graphics and versions, the package is unfortunately a bit of a big download. As far as I know, I have addressed all of the various issues identified in the thread.
Please report any additional problems you find. Otherwise, I plan to release it as "final" in the next week or so. Thanks!

Looking good.
The Zebra skin however, says MSEG 1-8, but Zebra only has 1-4.... (ZHZ) has 1-8.
My only other thing is me just being too anal....in the original ZHZ skin, each XY has a different colour.....yours all use one colour. I kind of miss the four colours....
btw Zebra 2, crashed whilst I was going back and forth between Dot Eight and your skin (well your skin with the Phase Plant knobs option)

Also my recollection is Urs removed the grid lines in MSEG's in Zebra because on some systems they were causing slow redraws.
So you may want to remove yours too.
Hopefully I am remembering correctly.

As a result of which the numbering system is a bit off. (here 2 is labeled 3)zvenx wrote: Sun Sep 06, 2020 6:54 pm ...

Argh, something so obvious as those MSEGs and I missed it! Will fix and produce a 0.91 later today. On the grid lines, that was taken direct from the ZHZ default skin, so maybe URS fixed it?
I felt like the multicolor pads were a bit distracting and better as one color. Particularly when I produced the colorized skin, that was a LOT of different colors going on. But can certainly make a modification option to change it to multicolored.

Hmmm.. maybe he did, although odd he didn't put it back in the original...... I was not one of those who suffered from it, hopefully one of those who did sees this thread and can confirm one way or another.
Re: multicolored... it is your skin. your call
Everyone has different tastes of course.... (Teksonics own is always wrong though. I kid I kid

Also in ZHZ,
in the open MSEG page.... MSEG 2-8 labels is blue, MSEG 1 is yellow.

Also
Well you did want feeback.
At the top of the modules and envelopes in yours, it seems like it needs more space.... I keep wanting to scroll up to see the missing part.
U-he's skin has same amount of space above the first module and modulator as below it... yours almost seem like that space is hidden behind something and I want to scroll up to it.

And hopefully my last input suggestion.
Wish there was a quicker distinguiser between Z2 and ZHZ, like if one one was in blue and one in green or yellow instead of them having the same font and colour.

Thanks so much zvenx! Gotten the MSEGs buttons, MSEG numbering, blue MSEG labels, and added a multicolor pads option. Looking into the more space at the top and the Z2/ZHZ distinguishing. Keep em coming!

No Thank you.........
The rest is really nit picking.
Like I would make the scan bar white more than the neutral colour it is now, so it pops out more.
And I am sure someone else suggested it and you thought it was too much colours.... make the Filter modules a different colour. (and now I think about it, does shaper then require a new colour? combo? so that becomes a mess).... so yeah maybe the scan bar should be brighter or white.
But I think that is it for me...
Thanks for doing this. And the additional knobs. I am not sure if I have any other skin (even paid ones) that do it....... The Phase Plant knobs on this is really kicking it for me.
It has already as of this pm become my default skin for both Zebras.

Found one more thing.
Cubase Latest 10.14.6 mac
Right clicking and selecting the init patch doesn't work consistently in your skin. If I switch to my previous default (Dot Eight),, whatever patch I choose and right click and choose Init, it goes to Init, not so with your skin. I have to swith to Dot Eight, right click to init, come back to yours and hence forth yours works to right click int.
edit: ignore this, it is also doing it with a factory skin, seems like a bug in Zebra and Cubase.

New version (0.91) uploaded that should address the initial bugs identified in 0.90: https://www.dropbox.com/s/xufn68qohxi29 ... 1.zip?dl=0
zvenx: thanks again! I included a modification under the Modifications folder with the multicolor XY pads. Note that it only changes the pad graphic and not the whole color scheme of the page like the original skin had. Hopefully a reasonable middle ground.
Regarding the knobs, I actually found it was a lot of fun building new knobs in jknobman, so having made them I figured why not include them! If there are other synths with good knob styles for inspiration, let me know and happy to add them.
Finally, I have all the other u-he synths so thinking of building similar skins for some of the others. Thinking maybe Ace or Bazille, but any suggestions appreciated.
