Waves V12 is here, now with resizable GUIs

For some reasons I don't recall this behaviour with a couple of IK effects I have.

Neither does me. But I'm in the process of migrating to a new PC and re-install a lot of stuff these days. I very rarely use my IK stuff, but sometimes I do ... really. I very vaguely remember them as being a bit blurry, but they seem to have changed something, because they look better now. At least to me.

Okay, I maybe missing something. I will give it a second chance when possible.

I'm noticing the same thing. When made larger, the v12 plugins look very blurry on my 2019 Macbook.

No...not so much. Definitely NOT retina ready graphics. Embarrassingly so.

Thank god, I upgraded to V11 when I had the opportunity to do it cheaply in the spring. All my most used plugin were under WUP so got everything moved to V12 without additional cost. Some less used stuff I have still on V9 so I can continue to manage only two versions side by side.

Kind of sucks though that they released V12 so soon after V11. Even though imho it was worth the upgrade from V9.

Hm... If I was Waves, I would get some free AI upscaler, plenty of options and usually excellent results on such images.

So glad I've decided to move on from using Waves plugins except for a few rare instances. I'm making almost NO use of my Horizon bundle anymore, and I'm not even sure if it's worth getting WUP just to try to sell the bundle?

which plugins do you use to replace waves plugins?
Been thinking of ditch Waves entirely, their whole upgrade system is terrible.

Another bad move from Waves. Their plugins became totally useless in Logic on newer displays with higher refresh rates. Instead of fixing the issue they just release V12. My question is, what is the difference between V11 V10 and V9 because I did not notice any except WUP! Shame on you Waves

I am mainly on Melda stuff and very happy with it. But I know, the GUI is a matter of taste.

I started supporting small developers which are able to listen to a customer and constantly improve their plugins over time. (Sonimus, Pulsar, Cytomic, Kuassa, OvertoneDSP, ValhallaDSP, NewSonicArts, Noiseash, Klanhelm, PSPAudio, etc.)

Not sure what you're all on about, just updated my Waves J37 tape plugin from v11 to 12 and it looks exactly the same as it did before
