Yes, you can. Vote of the option that said: Soft studios should count. :)

What's a "soft studio"? FL and orion can both record and sequence audio... I dont get how they're labeled as just soft studio's.

:? Is this a joke... ? (no answer needed)

I was surprised 'bout n-Track being even listed... and... yeah...

fl & orion must also be in the vote list.

dumb. someone put up a new poll
Vote for: Soft Studios should count!!!

You're not listening/reading hard enough. :x :D

And by the way, Tracktion v2.0 is coming soon & their customer growth is quietly increasing. For anyone to take Tracktion lightly would be plain stupid (is a business sense). :x 8)

I've just noticed this thread and now I realise why I don't actually make very many posts!!!

At least I can add this one I s'pose....

You realize n-track has more registered users than tracktion.. so does cooledit... so does protools... so does samplitude... (yes, even samplitude)... and acid for sure does...

What exactly is the point of calling tracktion one of the big 4 again? Im totally missing this.

Software Studio are software equals to hardware studio gears. This software is market as a all-in-one production package.

Ex: Reason, FL Studio, Project5, Orion, etc. :)

To be fair, Computer Music Beginner's Special mess up on the information before I did. They really count Tracktion as one of the 4. :?

And guess what count as number 5 in that same article (brace yourself): Reason. :?

This poll was very necessary of us all to see the truth for ourselves. I still something new all the time. :)

No, not a joke. It's research. 8)

And if I didn't add n-Track, someone might get P. O. about that too.

However...

It is NOT one of the "big 4".

The list on the poll is...

weird.

:D
But thanks to you, CM believes that Tracktion is one of "The Big 4". Don't worry. Tracktion is getting some respect. :D

this is ugly.
the big 4 are obviously

Live 1
Live 2
Live 3
and Live 4

:D

And more people drive Fords than Ferraris, does that make a Ford a better car?
Tony, nice try but leaving out Pro-Tools quickly made the whole thing absurd. And Cool Edit doesn't support VST or MIDI so it was never in the running.
koolkeys wrote:First of all, I'll say that it's hard to determine the "big 3" or the "big 4"
I always assumed they big status was determined by their big pricetag.
I knew that you would be here BONES. Price tags....another fatal low blow. Ouch!

To be fair, you can use a VST-RTAS wrapper in order to use VSTi's in Pro-Tools. So that counts for something (for now). :)

And you are so right about Audition. No MIDI. NO VSTi's. But you can use VST-effects plugins. :)

Audition was added on the poll because too many member in the KVR community respect this more than Pro-Tools. And I remind you that I got call out for not counting Pro-tools as a "Big 4" member. :)

In the mainstream & in the eyes of the RIAA, Pro-
Tools is The Best. But here in the eyes of KVR......??? :?

But I say it again, Computer Music screw up before I did. :(

So far, Live is winning.

Post

just how is TRACKTION in the big 4???

sorry, but its the big 4:

cubase

protools (Begrudginly)

logic

sonar

thats it.

samplitude is next, perhaps tracktion 2.

Post

and ahem, from my limited knowledge of it, live seems to be more of a LIVE compositional tool and idea capturer than full blown studio solution.

FLstudio will never be on the big list, cause its very focused, and rocks , and is cheap :)
