The current big 4: Sonar, Cubase SX, Logic, & Tracktion.

I need a bunch of opinions & facts on the next software that you think can make this the big 5 and why.

Personally, soft studios shouldn't count because by nature, they can work with or against sequencers. But of some, you love options :!: :!: :!: :)

Uhhh LOL!

Protools isnt one of the big boys? Samplitude isnt? More people use cooledit Id imagine than almost anything up there. (non-musicians use it too! a lot of them).

but tracktion is eh?

This is hilarious :)

I was looking to vote for Tracktion but then noticed you counted it as one of the big 4. It's big but is it really that big yet?

Big four should be Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase/Nuendo, Sonar, I think!
I became tuned in on the network of neurological signals and cellular wisdoms that radiate hundreds and millions per second.

To me, yes. 2 reasons:

1) Computer Music magazine thinks so.
2) Cult following is growing. It'll crack open after Tracktion v2.0. :D

I gotta agree with Robert..
this is ridiculous.

FL / Fruityloops probably has more users than your list combined.

Nuendo counts as a vote for Cubase. Sorry for the typo.

Too many people here in the KVR community don't even count Pro-Tools as "open Standard". But the options are there nonetheless.

The current top 4 for which market or do you mean most number of sales?? Either way I diasgree with your choices.

At the end of the day, good music can be generated using whatever tools - it really doesn't matter!

If I miss one, please tell me the name of the software.

By the way, good music can be generated by buzzmachines as well (a free soft studio).
