Setup Linux for Bitwig without an Audio Optimized Distro

i've been using bitwig for years now on out of the box ubuntu and never ran into any problems at all.njut out of curiosity, could y'all describe the brick walls you've been hitting with bitwig on linux? maybe o've just been lucky

Bitwig by default has pretty large buffers so you have a big latency. For some people it doesn't matter much, but if you use midi controllers or mic/instrument inputs it can introduce some annoying latency (a simple example, pressing a key on a midi keyboard will take a noticeable amount of time to produce a sound). We tend to adapt to latency pretty well, the problem is that if you used low latency systems you tend to be really picky after with anything that has more than 15-20ms.
