Love this as a ballpark reference tool - but not with the default presets. I threw all of my favourite reference tracks into a folder, and now I use that folder as my 'Custom' curve. This confirmed for me that I was getting the tonal balance about right for my music.

Wish I didn't have to rely on these kinds of visual things, but oh well!

Interesting! How many tracks do you have in this folder?
21 at the moment. The more you add the less variance the curve gets. But I know if I'm hovering around the middle I've done OK.

If I find a song that makes me truly envy their production/mix/master, in comparison to my music, I'll get it and put it in the folder - otherwise it is honestly just called "Favs" and they are the best of the best for me (Massive Attack, Burial, that sort of thing).
