Agreed, and I'm sure Max has been doing the best he can to get it out. But apulsoft beat him to it. Automatic latency compensation will be a big sticking point in the battle for network audio supremacy.Which is all the more reason that FXMAX should produce FXTeleport Mac pronto - the PC version is fully PDC compliant.
I also do like Max's implementation a little better than wormhole's (saves FX settings within host, etc.), but I've never used Teleport and I can't deny the simplicity of setup and use of wormhole either.
I do have one question about Teleport though. Say I have a VSTi and 3 VST effects serially instantiated. If each of these is a LAN plugin, does that mean that each sends and receives its own audio stream over the network?
If so, that's a huge advantage for WormHole, because you can cable up the instrument and all the FX you want, put a wormhole behind it, and send that one stream across the network. and then add some more effects to it when it gets where its going! Much less network traffic...
