Is there a reverse dinosaur cross grade where we can show proof of uhbik license ownership to get $50 off the hardware? Lol. Funny how we've gone back in reverse.

Hehehe, we currently have 1 module on the market, but a second one is nearly ready for shipping.DuX wrote: Tue Mar 07, 2023 10:41 pm U-he makes pretty badass hardware. Are you planning to take it to another level at some point? Like releasing a nice wavetable, digitally controlled, analogue synth with wavetable/additive/subtractive capabilities? And we could load our own waves and wavetables into it.
Hydrasynth is very nice, quite similar to what I have in mind. Also Krog Wavestate, Wavemod and Waldorf Kyra and M kinda.
So we're currently trying to contain ourselves creativity-wise and concentrate on prototypes one by one. The part shortage seems largely in decline, so we now want to elevate our experiments into reality.
But yes, a wavetable osc is certainly something we're thinking about.

Hehehe, thing is that my fascination with modern modular is based on my perception that those synths have concepts that indeed go beyond modern software. It used to be the other way round, where software surpassed the possibilities of hardware. As such you're right, maybe one day we'll offer something similar as the Dinosaur deal in that direction. But then, there's a long way to go for hardware to become profitable by itself (it currently is profitable through the inspiration that imprints on our software, most notably Hive).masterhiggins wrote: Wed Mar 08, 2023 3:53 am Is there a reverse dinosaur cross grade where we can show proof of uhbik license ownership to get $50 off the hardware? Oh I was jk. I just thought it was funny how we were shifting back to hardware. I agree. Certain things like real-time feedback between software modules isn’t possible. I never thought about it before until I tried to recreate a feedback loop and it sounded strange. I’m just too spoiled with software recall to back to hardware.
