Dunno... what would that be? It's hard to imagine a more sociopathic business decision than that.
Just imagine
- you just had your first child (maybe even twins) and have absolutely no time atm to get serious about music-making
- you have a really bad year financially because you lost your job
- your mum, dad, wife is terminally ill
- your music-studio is struggling to make ends meet
- you suffer from burn-out and take a direly-needed break from basically everything
Then, 15 months later things look much better and you're back in the saddle and then you notice that your goto drum-software just received a huge update but you're locked out of the upgrade-path permanently and would have to purchase the whole (really expensive) thing as if you had never owned a piece of it.
Seriously: how can you not lack the slightest bit of empathy and still come up with something like that?
And just imagine working for the company without having a say in this but needing to defend it in front of your rightly pissed-off customers.
Does the Toontrack CEO hate all human beings, or what?

I hope you don't have to repeat all that in 90-days.

The license manager will not even open for me, it just hangs - for hours if I let it.

The drums are amazing. Love them- but bought an expansion under the wrong email address and of course their stupid licensing system authorised it immediately to that email address. It has been a week now and no answer from support to just change the email account. They even closed one of the tickets without even bothering to respond.
No customer service at all.

Did you maybe update your OS or get a new computer hardware addition? Sounds like the software sees it as a different machine

Doesn't need any of that for this software to fail.VariKusBrainZ wrote: Tue Dec 06, 2022 7:47 pm Did you maybe update your OS or get a new computer hardware addition? Sounds like the software sees it as a different machine

What other Drum Vsti´s would you recommend? I like the BFD drums. The samples and workflow suite my creative flow.
Unfortunately I can´t even download the fkn License Manager from BFD. I migrated and I have an account and all that. But this 90day mess and not to be able to download the license manager is not a good outlook on what might come. I´m really sorry for Drew to be left high and dry with this Inmusic crap.
It´s too bad to deal with all this licensing hassle and frustrations with an installing process. So I probably need to write off BFD and get another solution for realistic drums. What would you recommend? Superior or Addictive. I don´t want to use Native Instruments related stuff, because this company is also a money grabbing machine I don´t trust.
