Anyway, it's sunny, and the birds are in full voice. Lots of random melodies and poly rhythms going on.
ATTENTION! For those who want to use Tracktion Waveform in their workflow!

Many times I've had to render automated sections to audio because of random glitching. From memory the native (now legacy) filter was the culprit quite often, although that crackle could pop up in other curves as well. Always blamed my cpu (and I don't know that it wasn't)

No one from Tracktion read this forum anymore.
Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and even Deezer, whatever the hell Deezer is.

I know. but at least they have a link to this post in my open, which already has a dialogue
and a lot of tickets with descriptions, with pictures, with videos, this is in the past. And there is zero reaction.
That's why I created this post and warn other possible users

Let's face it, Waveform is dead. It's a pity. They've even missed the opportunity, to get Cakewalk's users With Waveform free (Cakewalk will be paid soon). But no, nothing happens...
And Waveform is getting even worse with every update.

It is strange that no one from Tracktion comes on here to give any reassurances about Waveform. I know the 12.5.11 beta update was recently released but that was announced by a KVR user not a Tracktion employee as in the past. The radio silence is a little disconcerting and I can understand it promoting feelings of abandonment within the user base.UnionS8 wrote: Mon Aug 14, 2023 10:29 am Let's face it, Waveform is dead. They're not the first developer to shy away from KvR and they won't be the last. I'm not saying I like it, but sometimes developers end up feeling like this place is too... overwhelming, let's say.Steve Bolivar wrote: Tue Aug 15, 2023 4:09 am It is strange that no one from Tracktion comes on here
Surely there must be consensus by now...

OK, then they should come up with another channel to communicate with us.pough wrote: Wed Aug 16, 2023 4:14 amThey're not the first developer to shy away from KvR and they won't be the last. Received a response from support:
"Ok, thanks I think I understand the problem
It's that the track input devices aren't correctly latency compensated.
I'll add this to our bug tracker and hopefully get to it soon.
All the best and thanks for reporting!"
This is reassuring.
I'll start counting again

Thus, the representative of Tracktion still visited this forum. It is possible that other posts and messages were read by him.
Hope dies last.

You won't find me arguing against good communication. I would very much prefer that they communicate here. I'm just not too surprised because I've seen it before with other developers. Maybe I'll go hang out in the u-he forum where a few of their devs actually do hang out and keep customers informed regarding timelines... that invariably are way off.UnionS8 wrote: Wed Aug 16, 2023 10:24 am OK, then they should come up with another channel to communicate with us.
