The best year for music ever. This 23 years old was already too ancient and stupid to get it in real time, darling missed the Beatles and the Stones but in retrospect it was such an amazing year.

"Long Silly Beard" and the "Drugs which ruined the family" were the first two songs I wrote around 1984. I was inspired enough by everything which was going on to become a composer. I still have the cassette.

iirc eagles greatest hits, was the only other album to spend as many weeks or more on the charts, but thats not a studio album as such. also not sure if they were consecutive weeks?
