I just found it amusing when I came accross the advert, I have in my loft (no doubt like many others here) several thousand pounds worth of software - mainly Amiga and older PC stuff, I also paid £150 for MusicX - like 15 years ago; I was lucky on that one, I think I sold it for £50.
I will have my guitar in 15 years time - I imagine?
It's Sunday night, I am taking a break from learning SXV3 - it pleasured me (!) to have a minor distraction .......... for a while.
I have spent thousands on software and Daw's in just the last couple of years, what that tells me is that the longevity of application programs/hardware is becoming increasingly shorterned - I think over the next couple of years we had better hope that the current crop of applications are updated, because in 5 years time nothing around today (software wise) is likely to run on the 64/128 bit systems that Microsoft and Apple will continue to develop - not because 'WE' need them but rather - materialistic society depends on the self perpetuation of everything in it's wake, to continue it's ever decreasing onslaught to oblivion.
There you go, it started as a laugh but turned serious
PS I don't consider this a moan (!) .. it's life - at the moment.
Flipper.
