Does using an ILOK dongle get me around the background process always running?

Small Home computer is: Windows 10, Xeon 4c CPU, 32GB RAM. 2-500GB SSD/6TB 7200 HD.
The hybrid system runs Win10 & 7, 2-Xeon CPUs 8c(ea.), 68GB RAM, 3-2TB SSD. This is the one you are most likely asking about. But it was the first one I listed where we actually got into a discussion, which started with them telling me they redid everything and better, only to get emails from me they hadn't. Except for hiding their processes under OS processes instead of their own. And which they admitted to me I was right and they had to lie to people to get them to try it knowing the majority would never figure it out.
And I am aware they bought JUCE.
Interestingly, I just checked their list of companies using it, and a few I had stopped using in the last year or so. Not because of that, but because there was a change in discourse that raised flags to me. I suspect I know why now. Thanks!

I feel a country song coming upbungle wrote: Tue Jul 23, 2024 3:39 am [...] they are all making music and getting on with their lives, without ever knowing how close they are to PACE kicking their dog!
Verse:
We load the van, guitars in hand,
Chasing dreams across this land.
Late nights and neon lights, we're on the road again.
Playing bars in every town,
Never let the hard times get us down.
In this life of music, we're just trying to find a friend.
Chorus:
We sing our songs and play our tunes,
Underneath the Texas moon.
Every melody and every rhyme,
Keeps us going, every time.
We're making music, living free,
With a loyal dog by our knee.
Unaware how close we come,
To PACE kicking our dog when they run.
We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

Is your laptop a Mac? Well AirPlay uses it, and Apple has had Bonjour installed as a default service as long as I can remember (like, we're talking back to PowerPC G4 era OS X here).jinotsuh wrote: Tue Jul 23, 2024 1:38 am It must come from other places as well? This laptop has never seen hide nor hair of iLok Manager, (no need, I don't use Lap Tops for Audio/Music) and Bonjour is there.

Yeah lets see, LDSvc.exe - which is the PACE executable running, has used 0:00:00 time. Same for bonjour when I found it in the svchosts. During this time I had Live on with a lot of iLok plugins.
I dunno what 386 people are using when they see something like the numbers said... or then they have something else as problem, like Anti-Virus installed.
