Huh. I redownloaded and still same amount of presets. Very few under v3. But they are different presets now. Tried reinstalling both the plugin and factory presets again.Vortifex wrote: Wed Nov 20, 2024 1:12 pmThe plugin itself. At least, that's what the email said. The exact wording was: "The plug-in OB-Xtreme 3 has just been updated. There is no demo.Korzybski wrote: Fri Nov 22, 2024 2:17 pm There doesn't seem to be option to demo this. or am I missing something.
I went against my no-demo-no-buy policy and bought V2 of this a couple of years back, and was mostly happy except for a bug that wasn't fixed until V3. That's fixed now and the synth is definitely worth the 51 euros he's asking for it IMO, but without a demo it is a gamble.

Then there will be no purchase. There is about a 90% chance this will bring nothing new to my collection but I'm always willing to give something a go just in case the quality blows me away.
I assume you can get a refund but even then I'm not going to take a 90% chance that I'll have to fight for a charge back.
Of course it's his prerogative not to offer a Demo just as it is mine not to do business with a company that does not offer demos for their products when 99% of the competition does....

I don't really see the problem. I listened to the v2 demos when Aly was still working on it and that's all it took to convince me. I think if you don't hear anything in the demo tracks that sparks your interest, you probably wouldn't be swayed by a trial version, either. Overall, there are a few instruments that are really important to us that don't have demos - mostly Kontakt libraries from the likes of Output and Heavyocity - so I'd never put such arbitrary barriers in my own way. Substance, Analog Strings and Novo have had such a profound effect on what we do and how we do it that I am always going to be willing to trust my gut and take a chance on something being useful. And if sometimes it ends up being a waste of money, so be it. You can't make an omlette without breaking a few eggs, as they say.
To me. OB-Xtreme is a completely different beast to any of my other Obie emulations, in that I approach it in a totally different way. That's mostly down to the way it's presented - it makes you want to do things differently with it than I'd do with something like Obsession or OB-Xd. To be fair, you'd need to try it first to work that out but I think you're cutting your nose off to spite your face by refusing point blank to consider it. If you look at the way Drive/Saturation or the Voice Card offsets work, for example, you should be able to see how clever that is and how easy it makes it to work with.

So I take it this is not the full V3 preset list? I've installed twice and the presets changed but same number.

You have around 200 presets total, V3 factory was mainly here to showcase new v3 capabilities and is pretty scarce indeed, but you will get many additional ones in January during 3.0.1 update once I will be done with VProm 3.0.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Sun Nov 24, 2024 11:00 pmSo I take it this is not the full V3 preset list? You should see an option towards the bottom (not that well highlighted by PayPal of course) on the PayPal payment page where you can enter a debit/credit card without a PP account.mambo888 wrote: Sun Dec 08, 2024 10:19 amCan this be bought with normal international debit card? Exactly that is a standard feature for years, you can directly pay with a credit card and that is clearly displayed by Paypal, i will add some additional info to clear that up once and for allMr Arkadin wrote: Sun Dec 08, 2024 6:58 pmYou should see an option towards the bottom (not that well highlighted by PayPal of course) on the PayPal payment page where you can enter a debit/credit card without a PP account.mambo888 wrote: Sun Dec 08, 2024 10:19 amCan this be bought with normal international debit card? I have a couple of questions if you don't mind.
What's the copy protection? Do i need an internet access to activate the plugin?
This and future versions will load projects made with previous ones (like Melda), or every version is like a different plugin? (like Fabfilter)

I tried to pay through paypal without logging in. It still wanted me to create a password and provide my age. Then it refuses to process the payment, because the email address is already registered. Then I provided a different email, then it didn't let me pay because the card number I'm using is already linked to a paypal account.Mr Arkadin wrote: Sun Dec 08, 2024 6:58 pmYou should see an option towards the bottom (not that well highlighted by PayPal of course) on the PayPal payment page where you can enter a debit/credit card without a PP account.mambo888 wrote: Sun Dec 08, 2024 10:19 amCan this be bought with normal international debit card? The thing is I travel a lot, I work in a different country than where I'm from. I started paypal in the UK, then I moved, I no longer had UK phone number. Guess what I cannot use the account again. Then I created a hungarian paypal, but cannot use it because it only sends code to hungarian phone number, which does not work when I travel. I'm working in in another country, where there is no paypal, I cannot use my hungarian paypal and also the UK paypal. When I try to use my bank card, it gets rejects saying it is already registered with a paypal account I cannot log in to so I cannot unregister it.
