The problem isn't really about there beeing enough good coders. Coding is pretty straightforward anyways. The thin is that Jules is, as far as I know, a musician, not a software projects manager. As a working software developer (music is just a hobby) I can tell you that documenting design (both UI and code) in a professional way, and managing software projects is where the problem lays. In order for Jules to really be aided by aditional crew he would have to know how to use software analysis methods, something people spend years in university to learn and still don't master after graduating. Maybe one or two guys assisting him would be helpful since they could all communicate in a personal way, but beyond that it would probably become a hindrance.optilude wrote:The time to train these people may be greater than the time saved. I think and hope they have people helping with testing and quality assurance, perhaps even requirements gathering and "market research". But it's not a given that more coders will translate to faster delivery.
