What is the version number you see when you click on the Phonec logo? It should be 3.0.1. This is one of the items that I fixed from the previous version.
I am using 3.0.1. It's clearly audible here. Long release - retrig works. Staccato short release with no overlap - retrig doesn't work:

I confirm this behavior with your patch as well (Win11 in Reaper and FL Studio) and Phonec v3.0.1. I was curious so I gave it a try :)

Ok I see what's happening. Working on a fix for that right now.

Phonec3 is the evolution of the original Phonec Synthesizer, retaining it's distinctive character while introducing new and expanded features with an improved workflow.

Inspired by the remnants of the video age, Phonec3 embraces the haunting qualities of decay and imperfection, exploring the various facets of aging sound. Drifting tones, fragile textures, faded melodies, distant atmospheres and irregular harmonics form a palette that feels organic and evolving. Aside from it's quirky nature, Phonec3 is a unique and powerful synthesizer, capable of producing a wide range of sounds in the realm of vintage analogue tones, lo-fi synthscapes, ethereal ambiance, minimal techno sequences, retro leads and hard hitting synth basses. Its intuitive GUI attempts to strike a balance between form and function, making it a very practical tool that can be creatively inspiring to work with.

Features:
  • Dual Oscillators with various combinations: Mix, Ring, X-wave, logic.
  • Sub Oscillator for beefing up the low end.
  • Cascading lowpass filter with 4 stages + Milk & Acid Filters.
  • Post Highpass Filter.
  • Pre/Post Filter Distortion.
  • 3-Stage Filter Separation.
  • Melt: A unique feature that adds instant character to any patch with drifting pitch and amplitude fluctuations.
  • Extended Melt functionality with extra tweaks under the hood.
  • Arpeggiator that works in conjunction with a set of Note & Modulation Sequencers.
  • Note Sequencer: 16-step pattern sequencer for pitch ranging -/+ one octave.
  • Scale Mode: Locks the Note Sequencer to scale for snapping to harmony.
  • Pitch Wheel Quantizer for note-stepped pitch bending that can snap to Scale Mode.
  • Modulation Sequencer: 16-step pattern sequencer for amplitude and filter cutoff.
  • 3 LFOs: BPM or Manual modes w/ Keytracking, and Note Retrigger.
  • HFO (High Frequency Oscillator): FM style audio-rate modulator.
  • 3 Modulation Envelopes for several additional parameters.
  • Aftertouch and Modwheel control of multiple parameters at once.
  • On-board FX include:
  • EQ: A 3-Band Parametric Equalizer.
  • Chorus: A lush chorus with multi-voice stereo spread.
  • Echo: A dub-style delay unit with bandpass filter.
  • Pan-Tracking.
  • Patch Randomization of Sub-sections.
  • Sub-presets: load/save settings for sub sections
  • Preset Import from Phonec2 (bank import coming soon)
  • Custom GUI scaling.
  • Intuitive patch management system.
  • Several presets to get you started.
**Note: MPE is currently not available in this version, but will be implemented at a later time.

Phonec3 is available as a VST3 and Audio Unit for $89.

I created a custom sub-folder and saved a few presets within, but when I switch through them from the GUI, it seems not all of them are beign displayed. They are saved - when I go to the presets list in the preset menu they are there, but when switching them by clicking the presets switch buttons on the plugin GUI, some are missing and not showing up. It happens only with my custom folder.

And is it possible to make the presets switch buttons a little bit bigger :)?

Thank you

3.02 now available

No unison?
FL Studio 25 | AudioThing JULY - Deimos - U-he Filterscape - NI Kontour - Softube Model 80 - LUSH-2 - UAD Opal - WaveOSC

Phonec2 didn't have unison and neither does this. Tbh I never missed it.

This latest patch seems to have fixed its issues. Melt works properly now as does the osc retrig.

The only remaining minor issue for me is that dialling in subtle vibrato is quite fiddly, I wish there was a bit more room for dialling in subtle amounts.

New in this version (3.02):
Melt modulation is now bipolar.
Fixed Osc Retrig not working in poly mode.
Fixed Osc Retrig not working with non-overlapping notes.
Fixed Sub and Noise output affected by Logic gates.
Minor GUI fixes.

Thanks, I was just about to post this.

Next updates will be focusing on adding/improving features and minor improvements. And yes, Bank import as well. Any requests let me know and I'll consider them.

Has the update meant any changes to the existing presets?

Not necessarily. If there are any changes, particularly when using Logic functions with the oscillators, it's only because they were not behaving properly before the update. For example, there was the issue of Sub and Noise oscillator outputs being affected when applying any of the logic gates to Osc1 & 2. This was an error, which is now corrected. So if anything, you will hear the normal output of the Sub and Noise while any And/Or/Xor gates are applied. But this should be expected behavior.

I assume you mean with the LFOs. Yes, I suppose the pitch does modulate a bit much, even with the Subtle switch applied. Maybe I can add a new target (Vibrato), which would essentially be a much more subtle pitch mod.

I remember this being requested a while back for v2. I opted for a chorus instead. IMO, unison just isn't a feature that would be beneficial to Phonec's overall character.

Yes, I can make those buttons bigger in the next update.

As for the presets being skipped over, it might have to do with naming conventions. I remember some strange behavior with a three character preset name I think. Do the names of the presets being skipped have any particular things about them, like all-caps, underscores, weird characters, etc? It's bound to be something like that. Let me know and I'll look into it.
