I think users can adjust the colour scheme themselves, but not currently from within Zebra3 itself.
(I think it would be the script files that are installed).
I could be wrong..

Here's a post referencing the built in UI editor:
Correct way to approach making U-He skins

I'm sure I found some slightly more indepth posts before but can't find them at present :)
EDIT: A little more detail here

After playing with the new presets for a while I found myself favouriting a lot of "Sound of Merlin" patches.
Didn't know that sound designer but seems to become my favourite in Zebra 3 next to some well known names! :tu: :tu: :tu:

Great stuff!

Uuuuuuhhhh I like that. I haven't tried it yet but judging by the screenshot in the post it looks very nice to me and dare I say I actually think I prefer it even a bit more than the previous UI. Certainly love the dark UI and the more contrast/colour coded modulation, switches/toggles. It really adds a lot more visual feedback which is great. So excited for the final stable release hopefully soon, but takes as long as it takes 😝. Cheers Urs and the whole team.

On Windows, we face various difficulties. I do not know the exact terminologies, but there are "virtual window sizes", scaling factors and what not, which are apparently partly controlled by the host, partly by the system settings and possibly to a lesser degree by the plug-in. Unfortunately we're still rendering on the CPU there, so our output is a bitmap. With some scalings it's as sharp as it gets, with other scalings things look washed out, and it may also depend on our own UI scaling (the UI is designed in a Grid that always renders bitmaps into integer pixel destinations, regardless of our UI scaling - unless the bitmap is resampled by Windows afterwards).

Anyhow, rewriting our Win UI layer to support some kind of DirectX whatsoever, hopefully something supporting hardware acceleration, is one of the next big things we have planned, and this should let our stuff look as sharp as anything. We hope to have a team start on this right after we release Z3, and we hope it won't take a year.

Interesting.
I'm running a 2560 x 1440px 17" screen at 125% Windows Display scaling.

I think I'd still prefer more contrast for the labels on Windows (11) so even with a slight blur it would be better readable. ATM it's all grey in grey. What you say only emphasizes this for me.

Thanks and cheers (and I love everything else about it ;-) ).

Great !

The Soundset is fantastic ! ....and many many presets are just awesome !
It`s what i thought Zebra3 would be capable of. Very happy

Thanks Alots @everybody at U-HE !

GUI: i don`t like grey on grey/black in general. In this case it`s "okey-ish" as is, but some more contrast vs. the fonds would be welcome

I agree. The light gray on darker gray is difficult to read. More contrast, please! I'd prefer lighter text rather than a darker background.

Yeah, i`ve seen your post ;)

i see in general a trend towards that "grey on grey" colour scheme. Which is beyond my comprehenshion. Zebra3 has a big GUI. So it`s here not as dramatic. But i have already developed an allergy vs. "grey on grey"

One possible cause might be:
- some guys are on top modern laptops (macbooks) with the nose probably quite close to the screen. Or 5K i-macs, etc. .
- while i for example run a 43" Display in 115-120cm distance (with 2K reso).

Such definitly makes a difference

thank you!

while playing various presets came across Plectrum and it crashed FL Studio 25.2.5

apparently this happens when playing notes on keyboard and the same time preset is changed. Sometimes crashes, sometimes not.
