Not insanely accurate yet. Funkybot gave me some tips I need to try feeding Claude with. Another part-time job like the Repro-5 vintage skin... I don't like the GForce GUI but I'm almost relieved it isn't skinnable!
I'm about to post a new version later today, here's my advice to you: wait for me to go first, steal my work. ;)

You should be able to use my Conversion Report, Python Script, and lookup tables, to better map to RePro-5. I mean, just steal all my work and put it in a nicer UI, dropping the Python requirement and I'd be totally happy. ;)

I'm at the point now, where I'm just validating edge case patches, making sure the volume is right, etc. Every patch on mine that I'm converting and comparing against the hardware, I'm rating a 4.25 or higher out of 5 so it's really darn close now.

I've spent weeks measuring. Tuning, voice drift, resonance (surprisingly hard - the hardware at 120 translates to about RePro at 73 depending on the filter), FM/Polymod ranges, OSC B LoFreq, Envelope Timings, LFO rates, etc. Then doing tests over and over again. Refining, refining, refining. I've literally probably taken thousands of measurements and have them in a giant Excel workbook. So yeah, save yourself the hassle and just steal from me.
Just to be clear, and this does get confusing, I’m just converting Repro-5 presets TO GForce Prophet-5 format (in addition to the hardware to GForce conversion). Do you think your extensive work could help with that as well?

Yes, I think so.

Basic example: RePro's resonance is way higher than the GForce/Rev 4's. So a Resonance value in Repro of 73, if mapped to 73 on the GForce, it will sound probably sound weak. You'd need something to say, "hey, 73 on RePro = 120 on the hardware, 100% on the GForce" for a good conversion. Higher than 73, clamp it. Then similar for the filter cutoff.

Here's what a panel value of 6 (60%) looks like on the various RePro filters compared to the hardware. If a RePro patch is using one of the other filters, you may be WAY off.

So it depends on how far down the rabbit hole you want to go.

But you may be able to prompt Claude with, "hey, Funkybot already did a bunch of Rev 4 to RePro-5 conversion measurements, can we use his lookup tables and flip them to come up with good mappings for RePro-5 to the GForce plugin based on the hardware and see if it improves the mappings?"

I just pushed the big update to my Prophet Rev 4 sysex to RePro-5 patch converter. Abernathy, as mentioned, if you're converting RePro-5 patches to GForce, it may be worth trying to see if Claude can sort of reverse this mapping with the GForce standing in for the hardware.
