I think I have found a bug here.
At least on FL Studio:
1) ConvoBoy running has sample named "001.wav"
2) Loaded another convoboy, used sample "002.wav"
3) Deleted the second convoboy (for aesthetic reasons)
4) Saved the project
5) Loaded again and now the convoboy has the last sample I browsed (002.wav)
So it seems that convoboy doesn't save the path of each sample on each instance when the project is saved.

Wow!!
What a great response!
Many thanks for all your compliments and feedback. An update for 'Convo Boy' is already in the works.
When the next version is ready, I'll post an update link via the Share-it registration list so those that downloaded won't need to register again.
All the best for the season and a happy new year.
(time for a break I think )
Paul

So very generous! Thank you, Paul!

On my system, with ConvoBoy loaded across the stereo outs, there's a small but noticable delay. You could *almost* use it realtime, but not quite I think. SIRs latency (at least, the latest release) is larger, but neither is (in my opinion) quite "realtime".pheeleep wrote:how is the latency compared to SIR please?
Ps: Thanks Paul!
That said, it sounds good and it's easy to use with all my NoiseVault impulses! I'm a happy camper, thanks for making this!

Doesn't unfortunately seem to work with Adobe Audition. There seems to be a problem with all the Elevayta plugins with Audition in that the GUI doesn't appear to load. Seen this before with a couple of other plugins so it may well be the Audition VST implementation is a bit fussy but it would be great to be able to use it in this environment.
Big fan of SIR, used it in lots of the games I've worked on, very keen to try Convo Boy.

Thanks a lot for this little beauty! Works a breeze in Acid 5 (which is not exactly the hottest app of the year). Just one thing I couldn't figure out yet (though there's surely more to come...):
Do the IRs loaded through the "Load IR-L" and "Load IR-R" buttons in the "Convo Tools" window overrule the IR-selection in the "Convo Main" window or do they interfere with each other to some extent?
I'm just asking because I got some IRs to be loaded left and right seperately, but (almost) everytime I try the resulting reverb sounds _totally_ different on left and right channel, as if they wouldn't belong to the same room at all.

The IRs loaded using the idependent buttons overrule the IR-selection in the Convo Main window. the selection is not updated because you can load different IRs for left and right stereo channels.zerobae wrote:Thanks a lot for this little beauty! Basically, in the default setting the 'Load IR-L' loads a stereo IR and takes the left channel of that and routes it into the left channel buffer in Convo Boy. The 'Load IR-R' does the same for the right channel. By changing the routing (blue L and R) you can decide to load the right channel of an IR into the left channel buffer etc.
When you load two completely different IRs into left and right, you will hear completely different reverbs from left and right (i.e. from two different rooms). You should also see this on the display (try clicking 'Swap IR' to see this (This swaps left and right channels).

Alright, thank you - that helps. I was just confused because from noisevault.com I got some Lexicon IRs that are separated into pairs of one mono IR left and one mono IR right. Trying to load these with the ConvoBoy (using the "independent buttons") resulted in the described unwanted reverbal sounds...
Guess I should make stereo files from every two monos and load them in the ConvoMain window?
Thanks,
Z
