I must admit that when I hear or see the word synthesiser, the image that comes to my mind is of my KORG Mono/Poly. It was a thing of rare beauty. In the modern era my vote would go to Alesis for the Ion - its just dead-sexy.

When it comes to how a synth looks, just take a look at a mint Roland Jupiter-4. That has to be the most beautiful synth ever.......

Hmmmm. I would go for the Jupiter-8 and the Prophet-600 (very sexy).
... Moog System-55 is also great but I don't have one :-(
Of the modern ones, the Indigo is very cool.

another rare beauty is the axcel resynthesizer, which might look great on top of a synclavier :)

My faves would have to be

Prophet 5 - Sounded as good as it looked, mmmmm wood

OBXa - Loved that black interface

Polymoog - Looked fantastic, sounded like shit

PPG Wave 2.2 - I fell in love with that shape and blue instrument panel

i recently sold my casio cz101, but it wasn't a real loss in term of beauty - exactly like the matrix-6.
