eric23j... I'd like to see you try building that pic I provided above with a simple FX chain. you can't. trust me. That picture above is basically an instrument (it's a sample mangler built from low level components)... NOT an effect.

shame about tracktions lack of arpeggiator, quantisers, ability to assign midi ccs to any paramter in varying depths etcplatinumears wrote:ie: you have to run a 3rd party app inside Cubase to get the type of functionality that Tracktion has built-in.ericj23 wrote: so why not just use ext ? - it's what i do in cubase if i want that kind of layout
as for doing the picture thing i would have thought i could do that in cubase - its all about roiuting audio and midi, so as long as there is no feedback loops as that cannot be done in cubase - remember midi control can be routed from anything to anything in cubase
admittedly it would be much easier in traktion but i have absolutely no interest indoing this so .....
PS most people who make assumptions about others ability and experience are usually self satisified smug twats - but i could be wrong

I f**king can't believe no-one has mentioned energyXT yet...
it seems it's time again for some nice little screenies

edit: I see it has been mentioned yet - took me a while to grab a new screenie

hey, you were the one attempting to point out that Tracktion wasn't a modular envrionment. So go ahead and admit that your assesment was wrong and misinformed.ericj23 wrote:shame about tracktions lack of arpeggiator, quantisers, ability to assign midi ccs to any paramter in varying depths etc
yes, indulge me.. I would love to see you create it in cubase. The needed components are on my site.. click the link below. Just use the pic as a template... then notify us of your success.as for doing the picture thing i would have thought i could do that in cubase - its all about roiuting audio and midi, so as long as there is no feedback loops as that cannot be done in cubase - remember midi control can be routed from anything to anything in cubase
oh well... just don't make implications about Tracktion as a modular environments without being able to back up what you are saying...admittedly it would be much easier in traktion but i have absolutely no interest indoing this so .....
and yes, you are the first to throw a punch below the belt too... NICE!PS most people who make assumptions about others ability and experience are usually self satisified smug twats - but i could be wrong

or is that kind of comments on people's ability to understand things OK with you - cos it aint round hereModuLR wrote:except this came firstericj23 wrote:and yes, you are the first to throw a punch below the belt too... In other words, you havent really grasped the full potential of racks.

yes, as less as Tracktion is a modular-enviroment...ModuLR wrote:besides, according to eric23j's logic.. eXT is not a sequencer either...Jens wrote:just one more reason![]()

and int aht one jens you fail to notice the comment that was in response too
i wills ay this again - if you start throwing shots about i will reply with much worse ones
so if i genuinely offend your delicate little souls (and is eriously doubt that) play nice - we will all get so much more done

@eric23j... I gathered that what platinumears said as true. You *obviously* have not grasped the potential of the racks, or you would have never made such a silly implication in the first place.. as if using the "racks" is going outside of tracktion. Whatevers.
and your challanging question about how to send audio on a single track to multiple ouputs was asnwered with a workable solution. So yes, I think you are misinformed on the deeper parts of tracktion... and it's appearent.

yes.. confirmed now that eric had made me understand.Jens wrote:yes, as less as Tracktion is a modular-enviroment...
Tracktion is not a modular environment and eXT is not a sequencer.
