I like Princeton reverb very much as well, however the reverb I find myself using the most is the Ozone3 mastering plug, Talk about a handy little plug it has a world class EQ + Nice Reverb and the loudness max is stellar also worth mentioning is the Harmonic exciter and the multiband imager, All on one vst and all 64-bit clean. I go to this plug for only vocals, The Princeton reverb I use alot on other stuff like keys or strings and stuff.

I stand corrected and hereby pull my head in. Just tried the 2016 on a female vocal track and I see what you mean by using it 100% wet. On very small room settings, it sounds pretty good. At longer tail settings, the sproing annoys me again - but I have to admit it's a nice small room reverb for vocals. Not nice enough to convince me to buy anything challenge/response protected - but i'm starting to see the appeal of this thing. I'd love to hear the Princeton plate ... in the meantime, i'll probably buy the PSP Easyverb to console myself.

Don't rate the Princeton, my bandmate likes it but I would have to EQ it everytime. I have the UAD1 card so the Plate140 is the mainstay reverb.

Don't believe I have ever *not* EQed a reverb every time...no matter what it was.

That's a point kilroy, I usually lay an EQ on a track right away and begrudge putting another one on. Thanks for reminding me again what the most important of all effects is. E f**king Q.

Yes that effect (which I apply to more than just vocals) persuaded me to dig the $99 out of my pocket. I don't think it would have gotten $200 out of me, though.

Me too. I thought, for 99 bucks, what the sproing, so I sproing for it. Decay must be kept below 3s or $200 whichever sproings first.

A splashy thick plate - what an ambiguous choice of words :hihi:

I've had some maddening authorization issues, but aside from that.. ;)

On some things it sounds really nice, but I do have to admit that many times the Wizoo verb works much better for my needs.

Nothing bad to say about the Princeton (it is very nice and I dont regret the group buy) but I might need to budget for the W2 at some point....
