It's getting better and better! - and all the features that are already there are implemented in such a mature way! :-D

ttoz where will you get the files from? it's only an issue if you've opened an archive, because otherwise it DOES show the filenames in the description, doesn't it? and if they're from an opened archive you can just open the folder directly and they WILL be there. you don't need to check that they're there, they're just there and you can do what the hell you want with them, heck, moreso than you can otherwise because you have direct OS control over the files, including opening them directly in whatever other program you want for the task in hand.

seriously what is your problem?
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.

Well I don't really think that is the best implementation (no need for another list when you already have one) but I understand what you are asking for.

that's the way to do it. it'd be handy for you indeed if it just had an extra tab of info in the list that showed the ACTUAL filename.

but seriously ttoz tell me what you would do with that filename info. would you load another program and then navigate to that folder to get the file? there IS a button that opens that exact folder for you, with all the files in, all there, in that folder (heck it's got the pathname at the top of the window if you need to recite it to yourself while you work) and you can do what you like with the files there - open them, delete them, rename them all so that they show exactly the the filepath is in the filename, transfer them to your mac, open them simultaneously in logic, cubase, podium and whatever other hosts you have just to bash. or heck even put them on ebay or the kvr marketplace along with the rest of your software. or post a screenshot of the folder telling everyone how furious you are.
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.

Yes but the descriptions in the list are based on initial imports.

An audio pool with file location descriptions is common.
Have you used other software?

Ok, how about THIS as an idea.

Just one extra column, with the heading "file location", in the same list we are using now.

Would ANYONE have an objection to that?
That's exactly what I was talking about. Why make a new window when you already have one. And yes I have used other software, thanks for asking.

Podium is simply a no go cause it lacks the most crucial feature...telling you where you release clips when dragging on the timeline.

I din't go further than that.
If you told Frits about this he would probably implement it really fast, seems kinda like a one hour task really.
