Hello!
Please, all you skilled people out there:
Make a wizard file for Kontakt3! I tried it with a self-programmed wizard-file
witch was very very long, but it didn't work... (3 hours for nothing...)
...or is it impossible??????
Regards,
Paulustus

I don't know if it's possible right now.
Native Instruments authentication system is hardware based apparently: it gives you a serial number from which you get your authentication code. The problem is, the serial number is based on your hardware, so the one for your PC will be different from the one for your V-Machine. You can't know what's your serial number on the V-Machine, so you can't get an authentication code.
Danny correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm very happy getting some freeware vst (fount at http://freemusicsoftware.org/ and here in kvr) running on my v-machine.
So, I got lot's of basic freeware synths. What else?
On my ToDo-List is the PianoTeq-VST which would be perfect for v-machine because of th small size of approx 13 MB ... anyone?
String whould be cool for a live-setup.
And the free Kore Player, of cause. But I think there is the hardware-id-problem again.
SM PRO Audio posted on its homepage some wizard-files, too (some seen her in kvr allready).

It is possible as other users have authorised plugins with this scheme, from what I was told it was done by VNC.ala5t0r wrote:I don't know if it's possible right now.

I think some posts in Germany mention this as well.
I will see if I can find the link to this post.

PianoTeq Demo 2.3 Wizard, it seems very hungry on CPU, we should all contact the vendor as I feel it can be made to run better.
The plugin will run more polyphony/notes if you disable the built in
reverb. By using a BANK you can use CHUNK support to disable the reverb.
How to reduce size: To reduce the size of this plug so it takes up less room you can delete the following...
The entire 'Pianoteq 2.3 Trial' folder can be deleted, it was left alone in case it helps users get the full version working.
How to install the plugin onto the VMachine:
1. Install the plugin to your computer first. It must be C:
2. Open the VFX application.
3. Click on the orange power icon in the VFX application and from the menu that will appear select 'import vst instrument or effect'
4. Browse to the 'vstplugins' folder and select the plugins DLL file.
5. Browse to the 'vfxinfo.txt' file that is in this ZIP file.
6. Insert and setup the plugin inside the vfx application.
7. turn up the mixers faders, both the chanels fader and also the master fader.
8. Save the bank and preset you wish to send to the vmachine and then you can upload the plugin with the bank in a number of ways, for more
info see the VMachine manual and supporting documents.
9. You can delete/prune back some of the files and registry entries to reduce the size of the plugin so that it takes up less room on the
vmachine. Examples of what are not needed are PDF files, uninstall programs and other log files.
I prefer to copy the plugs and banks folders to a usb memory stick, you can then tell the VMachine to 'import selected bank' aka copy
the plugin from the memory stick to the internal flash. To do this Scroll to a bank enclosed in square brackets eg [name of bank]
and then use the menu>'import selected bank' option to copy the bank and plugin.
Copying this way is the fastest method. Once the plugin is on the Vmachine you can use the sync feature to update
banks and presets very quickly without using a memory stick.

Thank you Danny, efficient as always!
PianoTeq works, but if you allow me, I suggest everybody to use mda Piano:
1) It's free.
2) It sounds just as good.
3) It loads much faster and has no polyphony issues.
4) It allows to change preset easily (PianoTeq doesn't).
5) Very easy to install (no need of vfxinfo).

some users have reported this plug as a great Electric Piano
http://www.kvraudio.com/get/1338.html
Also I used the V-Machine as an effects processor on the weekend,
Left input into Classic Reverb channel 1, Right into Classic Delay Channel 2,
and Classic EQ on the master. Takes about 35% CPU

On my end, when I am on a plugin which supports midi patch/bank change, I am able to directly enter a patch and/or bank change or increment/decrement no problem, maybe smpro can use one of the optional midi CC controller numbers to change the V-Machine's banks and patches, I wouldn't mess with the standard program/bank change midi cc command as it would have bad results for the individual plugins, IMHO...
VFXAU wrote:Bugs? Well, we are trying to get as much support/features into the product as we can, if we did include this feature and it did not work then it is a bug. In any case, we are going thru a long list of wishes and I promise you it is on our list.ala5t0r wrote:Well, let's not call them new features, they are not very good. Both scenarios are known limitations of current firmware(perhaps new features). It doesn't obey the INC/DEC messages on learned presets, and doesn't "inc three times if you skip three".
Hope they will get fixed soon!
Thank you.

This MIDI inc/dec thing whould be great to trigger the v-machine with "guitar-rig" or "ampeg vsx" loaded.
instrument preamp into v-machine + midi floorboard! could be a little v-padel alrady...
