@brick
You don't have "do not show hidden files and folders" enabled by any chance ?
I am not sure if Vista has a similar thing to that setting (I am on XP).
Maybe the file format has somehow been taken by Windows as a system file and is hiding it from you.
Good luck.

I'm pretty sure they are in the Bazille.data folder.brick wrote:Hey Dunc ,

Where is your Vstplugins directory though? Maybe it's not writable and then you have to look at the roaming location:
e.g. YourUserFolder\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Vstplugins\...

I just wanted to say how much fun I am having with Bazille. I love the way you implemented duophonic mode. Hope that feature makes it back to zebra.
+ I love the percussive sounds one can get out of Bazille. The snappy envelopes + the modular madness leads to amazing results. You definitely should build on this, and include an analog drum focussed ensemble, maybe featuring a step-sequencer(?) in Berlin-modular.
Imagine analog drums, with crazy cross-modulation between the different modules so that for instance kick+snare!=kick and snare! woohoo! ( just dreaming here).
anyways, amazing synth.

Well I moved the bazille.data and bazille.dll into a U-he folder and all the presets are now gone from Bazille's internal preset drop down . Meh . The good news is that I can now find new presets when I make them .Urs wrote:I'm pretty sure they are in the Bazille.data folder.brick wrote:Hey Dunc ,

I'm sure that means you're roaming... Windows then creates a virtual datapath or something... it's the most hideous thing I've heard about ever since the invention of the Registry. I don't quite undertand it myself, but maybe someone with more expertise can help out?brick wrote:Well I moved the bazille.data and bazille.dll into a U-he folder and all the presets are now gone from Bazille's internal preset drop down . The files are definately *there* - they're just hidden somewhere in your own user/documents location.

Urs,
To go back for a moment to feature requests for this thing...do you have any plans to add something like a comb, or even better, a bucket-brigade device? I've been getting really interested in adding some Karplus-Strong kinds of sounds to my percussive patch arsenal. I don't completely understand the technical differences between a comb and a BBD, but it seems like this kind of device would be ideal for BM, since one can make feedback loops so easily. I've been kind of amazed at some of the organic-sounding sound samples I've found from people doing the K-S thing with their modulars.
On this same subject, is it possible to do something similar using the existing lag generators/S&H? I guess I don't really understand sample and hold that well, like particularly, what would be the traditional thing to patch into the trigger input?
In general, I have found those lag generators and inverters to be some of the juicest items included in this thing. Still completely loving Bazille a couple weeks in, and I can't wait to see what else is coming.
EDIT: I assume this will help...these articles are like the mostest awesomest resource on the web, I swearz.
Still, feel free to rock me with some technical mumbo-jumbo.

I checked out Karplus-Strong sounds... and they are amazing! I'm surprised how realistic it sounds from what looks like such a simple algorithm (could be wrong though). Then again comb filters do sound similar too.
Anyways something like that would be very cool in bazille... or maybe at least one of the modulars.

In the search window, did you first click on the "extra" search functions, so it searches through hidden folders and such?brick wrote: I can find them under OSX ok , its windows vista where the problem is , a search brings up nothing........
