Yep, free update :)
Unbelievably!

i do recall a post from you many years back saying you would hate to under cut your loyal customers & early adopters by selling it to newer customers for less,

i guess this is a great way to keep early adopters more than happy & bring in new customers (i for one am glad i was able to be a Uhe Supporter in the pre final stage of Zebra 2 8) )

& did i mention that Zebra 2.5 Kicks Ass!!!

There shouldn't be any difference.

Urs,
upon further investigation the problem appears to be with the Live 8.05 update.

I updated Live from 8.04 to 8.05 at the same time that I installed the latest Zeb beta.

My apologies for the oversight.

For whatever reason (presumably Live fault) Zebra's cpu hit in Live has approximately doubled.

Haven't checked on another host or with other vst's in Live yet...

cheers,
bagginz

btw, Win XP sp3 / Core2Duo CPU @ 2.4 gz

When I think about all the asses that could have been kicked along the long road of synthetic mediocrity I am deeply ashamed. Zebra 2.5 has changed all that and brought me dignity and honour. And I'm more attractive now. Explain that.

Could still be Z2.5... there are so many changes... if you notice anything in particular, let me know... better to investigate now than after release... :)

Will there be a demo version soon?

The beta works pretty well afaiaa (and next beta will work even better, eliminates the Arp bug)

However, it'll take some time until Howie is finsihed with the new set of factory presets. There'll be a whole bunch that make use of the new features...

Has anyone with Cubase 4.5.2 got the beta to show up in your plug-ins list? It's working fine for me in XT, but not in Cubase. :(

You probably have to delete some Cubase plugin blacklist file or something...

Will the new waveshapers come with 2.5 ? Or do we have to wait for 2.6 ?

I think that one is too important to solve "on the side". Updating the filters fell in place nicely because I was doing a lot of filter work anyway (and they of course solve a lot of problems already that the waveshapers couldn't).

I think 2.5 has to come out first and then I'll work on an all new waveshaper module. Large parts of this have already been developed by the developer of TriDirt, but I want to enhance it with some ultra-optimized code that happened in between.

Cheers,

;) Urs

I don't know if you're looking for a response here or on the Abes forums, but I just installed 8.0.5 today and have not had any issues with older projects being opened in the latest update.

I'll try a few things later (I really should be sleeping now), and then report back with an issues.

Are you on PC or Mac? ...I'm on PC, in case that makes a difference. 8)
