As per their classic M.O., the new order form to early requesters/preferred customers who pay now (because they claim units are in stock) says something like "units typically ship within 24 hours and we will confirm shipment". Of course that was back in the middle of last week and not a peep out of them since. So far they haven't been able to get one single thing right in terms of their customer communications. I'm afraid that bodes poorly for getting the YRG right as well. Yet hope springs eternal, like oil from the Deepwater Horizon...

Its my observation the latest YRG status and shipping news is being transmitted ONLY at this link: (no Mass Customer Emails as promised in April.)

"Pre-Orders Arriving!
Our 1st batch of You Rock Guitars is in transit to the USA. Because we have customers pre-order months ago, we've been making phone calls, verifying contact & shipping info, etc, in the expectation we'll be fulfilling those orders this week. We've decided to bring the first shipment by air since we're already late. We're tracking it in real time, and expect delivery on Tuesday. The plan is to start shipping out on Wednesday in the US 1st - for various reasons including quality control, costs, regulatory approvals still required, etc. If you've purchased the You Rock Guitar worldwide, please check our Distribution page here on the site and check with ask your local dealer.
We're bearing the expense of airing this first batch of products, and working with our distribution partners (ezGear, DBL, and others) to allocate product in the order received. We're doing the best we can to manage demand - and grateful for the passionate enthusiasm of our customer base. It's a nice problem to have, but a problem nonetheless - and we recognize that. Now that production is underway, we'll be catching up in the US and abroad as quickly as we can.
If you're wondering about your order, please contact us via the support page here on the site.
Several customers have ordered accessories to the product; from Game Flex Cartridges to Carrying Case Gig Bags. We don't have all of them yet. But we won't delay shipping your guitar! We'll send you that first, and send out accessories as they arrive later this month and into July. If you prefer to wait for your guitar until your accessories are part of the shipment please let us know - contact information can be found on the support page."

Its my interpretation that an "official YRG Pre-Order" is specifically defined as those customers who placed an order at this specific link:

This YRG Shopping Cart went online Jan 25, 2010, and is still accepting "Pre-Orders" at this hour.
All Other YRG orders placed at other sites: (EZ Gear, DBL, Soundtech UK) are NOT considered an official Inspired Instruments You Rock Guitar "Pre-Order"!
YRG orders placed at those other sites will be shipped at a later date, and certainly NOT this week.
FWIW - Here's a pic of a stack of 46 Latest YRG's at the Chinese assembly plant last week.

Wow, they have a phone now! I got on the wait list within hours of their very first announcement early last year (or whenever that was)and they emailed me middle of last week that they were "in stock" and "ready to ship". Too bad they feel they have to constantly lie to folks.
Well like everybody in here I am looking forward to the first unbiased review of its performance with a VSTi in a DAW. That's where the rubber meets the road boys.

If that was from EZ-Gear - I got the identical email last week as you.Wow, they have a phone now! I got on the wait list within hours of their very first announcement early last year (or whenever that was)and they emailed me middle of last week that they were "in stock" and "ready to ship".
Realize that EZ-Gear is only a reseller in Utah, and not directly affiliated with Inspired Instruments.
In essence any EZ-Gear YRG "orders" will NOT be shipping for at least a couple more weeks.
Read what qualifies as an official "YRG pre-order" in the post with the pic of the palette stack of YRG's above.

I ordered Feb 7th @ inspired.
I haven't received a phone call, e-mail, and the shipping info in "my account" page @ inspired still says "processing".
I just wrote to support @ the new YRG site.
Nothing they say ever comes to pass.

I emailed Kevin last week - and did receive a reply and confirmation that my order would be shipping at the end of THIS week ( = sometime before June 11,2010)
