Depends if the browser loading times issue gets sorted out or not.

Hi folks,
Sorry to be a total dumb-ass, but i don't understand how Zebra HZ integrates with this new version.
I've installed 2.8 and can access the dot-eight skin where all the new goodness seems to reside.
But when i load up HZ, it says version 2.7.2
As i understand it, all the new goodies are exclusively available in the dot-eight skin, right?
So how do i access the new features AND the Diva filters at the same time in the same instance? Or is that not possible?
Thanks! ....... Mr D

ZHZ is a separate download, and wasn't updated to 2.8 yet.

Note: This is beta material. Use at your own risk! Read the info below! Please don't use the Randomizer scripts just yet (see below).
We have one day left to react on issues, but half of our team has left already. Please be lenient with us. Don't install if you're in the middle of something.
Important: To select new skins in the Preferences, make sure you have less than 10 Themes installed.

Zebra 2.8 beta - changelog (revision 6849)
Please backup your presets before installing.
We unified the preset organization between Mac and Win.
On Mac, there were separate local and user folders for OSC and MSEG module presets and Microtuning files.
The user location won't be used anymore. During installation, any presets from this location will be moved to a 'user' folder in the local location.
Improvements:
* New Preset-Browser (minus tagging)
* New DotEight and DarkEight skins
* New Wavefolder module
* New NuRev reverb module
* Fullsize editor for OSC, MSEG and MMAP modules
* FMO module has waveform previews in new skins
* Modulation table for MSEG and MMAP modules
* More parameters exposed to host automation
* XY controls now have fine control via Shift-click
* New VST3 implementation
* GUI performance improvements on Windows
* Pitchbend range now +/-48
* Plugin format & OS info next to revision number
* "On open expand to" has new "none" option
* Windows installer now certified
* Init preset can be loaded from main display
Fixed:
* MacOS High Sierra - folders and presets unsorted if using APFS
* Mac only - possible crash in Cubase when selecting presets
* Win only - VST3 wasn’t remembering preset name in main display
* Playing very high notes could lead to a crash
* Formant filter caused volume spikes when used at 96kHz sample rate
* Zebrify MSEG was retriggering in single trigger mode
* Various small fixes and improvements
Known Issues:
* Fullsize editors slower when using larger GUI sizes
* VST3 - some parameters not reacting to MIDI CC control yet
* MMAP spectralize not automatically updating number of steps
* Init preset needs refinement
* Crash when trying to load script presets (e.g. Randomizer)
* Some small issues in preset browser
* In a few hosts, a "send all keys to plugin" option needs to be used
* Win only - Sonar hangs when using Tab key in text search field
* Win only - issue with mouse and text search field in ProTools
* Win only - short flickering while entering strings in text search field
* Win only - Original and UDH skin, text search field yellow when active
I completely missed the new UI
Reorganizing my life, and having to re purchase my U-He plugins, This is the first!

Ugh when will it come out of Beta already!?!?
I check this thread way too often, but I am pining for this update.
Only reason i havnt gone beta is i have a 99% finished Ep and also an 80% finished album, all tracks are stuffed full of zebras and I'm not game to take a risk on all that.
But man do I want to!!!!

We'll do another round starting in a few days. We have added a possibly considerable speed bump to the preset browser, at the loss of a tiny bit of convenience (newly added presets will be visible only after a few seconds). More details soon.Terrafractyl wrote:Ugh when will it come out of Beta already!?!?

Urs, that already sounds a lot better, if I'm understanding correctly.
So it would show the last known state of the browser IMMEDIATELY upon load, then scan for new stuff in the background, and add it in the existing browser view as the scan completes? That is MUCH better than waiting for any number of seconds for the preset list to even SHOW (because that slows down what you actually wanna do, which is look for presets).

Anyway to delete the Author and Favorites folders from the preset browser?
