love it - bought it

ease of use
great and pleasant sound

i very much like the way one can overdrive the input

the two dynamic dials in the modulation are super

only small downside:
i think it's a little bit too tame (sometimes)

the first delay degrades as expected,
but the second and sucsessive delays remain
imho too long too static
would be nice, if i could tweak this behaviour

wishlist:
ramp up/down in modulation

like in rePro a second, "under the hood" window,
where it is possible to tweak the colour and gate settings
like getting nastier, more degraded faster...

I like the idea of a tweaks panel like on Repro. Just enough to let us go slightly insane with the rougher side of things.

U-he guys,... Top job on this one. It took me a couple evenings, but now I got the fever. There is Nothing like it out there. It def has a sound and behaviors (and Control) all its own that piqued my interest. GREAT modulation, excellent automation targets (hiccup-free), lovely dynamic "Color" modes, killer stable Freeze function, sweet drive and reso and nice sig routing options. Tremendous!

Wish there was a Dan Worrall style video illustrating what is unique and powerful about this cause not being very technical, I think I'm missing the essential things that set it apart.

Taking a glance through the Manual will actually help quite a bit with this one, otherwise on the Surface CC comes immediately across as being Extremely similar to other BBD type delays. Here's a hint about ONE of the MANY excellent things about this one, (that nearly bit me like a snake in the grass). That single Colour knob is not what you may think. This actually changes to distinct MODES of processing the signal chain. Yes it adds various types of 'colour', but that is not all that is going on in each mode. Patience and experimentation will pay off when demo-ing this creative little unit. It took me a couple days of tinkering to fall as deeply as I did for it. I was VERY close to passing this up after a LIGHTNING-FAST demo and I WAS NOT in the market for a new bbd type unit, BUT this one esp at this crazy intro price (but even at 70euro) is impossible to pass up. Keep playing. Read the SHORT manual. Read through the entirety of this thread and jot down some ideas to tinker with. I did that too. Happy hunting/shopping

Thanks a lot!!

Holy damn.... I see why the Key track switch is so honkin' BIG. To think I just got around to messing with this bit of the unit. I'm in unsynced heaven here.

Reiterate: NOTHING LIKE this out there.

the KEY switch is ultra cool fun

Wonderful Delay. Very musical for this guitar player. I just spent an hour jamming with this and that is what it is all about. Found the controls easy to use, and need to try out some of the other features like they Key button and moving delay lines. Will most likely buy it soon. :D

Sorry if this has been asked, but when is Colour Copy expected to be officially released? Would like to plan my economy a bit, but also don't wanna lose the intro discount opportunity :D

Indeed it soars in its ability to “sing” in various ways. The fact a frozen buffer can be further creatively modulated by the dynamic mod section and subtly blended back into the dry signal is a powerful design element indeed. I think I read in the man that the “colour” section ceases to have effect on a “frozen” buffer, but that is not what I am hearing here. In fact, even extremely subtle adjustment of the saturation knob (depending on colour ‘mode’) has immediate effect on this buffered audio. This is fantastic for dynamic background layers and performance scenarios

Highly appreciating the smoothness in the way modulated components are handled. There are literally no glitches when adding, removing “colour” or while adjusting the LFO-modded elements real-time. This creaminess in modulation reminds me of another absolute fav, ST PrimalTap, but CC takes this and makes a brûlée all its own ;)

The double- cross-fed signal routing capability of the unit beget some wonderful results when fed various pan-modulated stereo input coupled w CC’s own modulations

Edit: Hm,...Recall reading somewhere on KvR that someone desired a Pulse-shape for the LFOs, but a smooth version of near- on/off (or l/r) behavior is currently possible by ‘warping’ the modulation with those “dyn” potentiometers. One should also not forget about the Phase knob, which can set the two LFO 180deg out-of-phase in relation to one another. So I think fair amount of modulation potential is already there. I can only guess that a sharp Pulse-type modulation processing such smooth signal would be too heavy. What is available now keeps with the creamy character of the unit

Embarrassing, missed that part since I only focused on "Introductory Offer: 49€ (final price will be €69 when released as V1.0 in a few weeks)". Thanks!

This is very exciting, look forward to trying it out!

As usual, I don't give any guarantees on exact dates. But V1.0 is feature complete, in testing and I hope we'll get the version out officially within a month.
